Here is a nice video of a Dutch Shepherd. You will not likely find a dog quite this hard, but what if you came close ??

Pet people should stick to pets. Perhaps a nice goldfish, or a Siamese fighting fish ??

I am just saying this, as you sound like you have made up your mind, and will get whatever you want regardless of advice.

And for the Cattle dog insulter.  : ) They are supposed to be horribly savage, and attack everyone. I had one, and in about twenty years or probably less, they will be the dogs I own.  I gave mine several good beatings to make her stop torturing people. First it was no biting, so she would punch them in their eyes with her nose, then there was the leg headbutting. She finally chose ignoring people. Such a good dog.

I've heard mixed opinions about the adaptability of the dutch shepherd to apartment life if well excersised, could it be that the two comparisions are fci vs knpv lines or are the breed standard sites incorrect when depicting what living requirments are needed for each breed. I understand that there are eceptions to every line and breed due to breeding. As far as having enough time, I am a stay at home wife where my biggest tasks of the day are making meals and cleaning while my husband works. I use to spend 6 hours a day doing work with a single horse along with a few others. But yes I do realize the amount of training and excersizing required.

Nice vid Jeff I'm currently looking a trainers around my area who have both a familiarity with the dutch shepherd as well as knpv dogs and possibly police dogs I have found one  http://absolutek9.com/ why don't you guys tell me what you think we already understand the training will be expensive to get the dog where we want them. Thnx again.
