Slamdunc, that's pretty cool. I remember on the show k9 cops, the guy brought his police k9 to a children's hospital to see the terminally ill children. Pretty awesome how these guys can take down criminals, and then be gentle enough to be with children as well.
Siantha, thanks for posting the pedigree link. Such a good looking dog, and nice pedigree as well.

The only JOHN DOE PUBLIC that doesn't know a sable shepherd from a Wolf or a coyote or a belgium shepherd is an IGNORANT , UNINFORMED JOHN DOE PUBLIC>
I very to say, all of us on this database who are in schutzhund, akc, breeders, handlers and owners that have studied what we own, and care about knowledge of what we talk about all know one from the other.
It is very funny as all of us have had funny remarks about our germans, and one of my funniest is :
" DOES your dog have CHOW in her? SHE has black spots on her tongue.?"
Uninformed people are who get facts wrong and spread tales. Most owners , breeders and people in their chosen breeds study to show their breed off and in order to help others learn. It is surely the deed of any breeder to educate his customers about what he sells.
Like in a case I tried in Harris CO. criminal court , on a dog trainer, as the victim and a PI, the Judge told the audience after the case was over.. "IF I buy a cadillac, and pay for a cadillac ,I want a Cadillac engine under the hood of that vehicle." The fake trainer we prosecuted sold pups to people in Houston as from Germany and Czech and they were out of a back yard in Magnolia TEXAS.
EDUCATION pays and it would HELP our breed in many ways and save the breed also. BUT it is not a quick solution and it is very hard in todays times to get all the people to believe all the right info all of the time.

German Shepherd dog, you like my wolf hybrid? To me, the past is the past. We've definitely gotten off on the wrong foot in the past at times, but I think we can definitely put all that behind us.

If you remember in that episode the dog didn't take the criminal down and the handler got injured. That dog never engaged and the handler was left in a bad spot. Boomer's demos are more of a circus act and not a petting zoo.
