Kalibeck

by Kalibeck on 16 February 2014 - 03:02

Hi! I had a hard time with my last chemo but there's only 1 more to go, then I will have another scan, & hopefully it's NED...no evidence of disease....then I just have to recover from the treatments a little & get myself back in shape. I'll have to be checked every couple months since this beast is known for recurring, but.....IT'S ALMOST OVER! Teeth Smile Still haven't gotten any paycheck or disability, still don't know if I have a job to go back to, probably not or they'd be talking to me more, but I feel like I might survive this. I really wasn't sure I would for a while....& there's always another job or something. We'll figure something out. My dogs still come up & sit in front of me with big soulful eyes & ask me if I'm ok, but Ansgar hasn't fixed on anything besides my port.
You guys saved us. You all pulled me through & kept me afloat, spiritually & literally. I will never forget, & I will be forever grateful. Thank you.

Jackie, you should be recuperating and getting as much rest as possible, with as little worry as possible.  Please don't hesitate if you need anything.  A lot of us don't have a whole lot, but it does add up.  Glad to hear you're in the home stretch!

Thank you so much, but Jenni you shouldn't be sending stuff to me, you have enough to deal with, unless it's a pawtigraghed picture of Combover with those icy blue eyes! He's a little movie star!
And Travels, thank you too, I promise I will ask if I need, right now my family & Carls have helped us pay our crucial bills for another while. What you all did for us got us to this point in time, which is so incredible. I can't thank you all enough! I am trying to rest as much as possible, thankfully my dogs keep me from turning into a moldy bump on a log!
We have so much snow right now, everyone's having a hard time with it. We got about 10" then 6" & a thick layer of ice, then 10" then ice then 8" then thaw & refreeze, then 4" & now flurries....even the dogs aren't enjoying playing in it because of all the crusty ice, so I've been trying to keep them busy inside, playing kibble scatter, OB practice; as much as I try not to follow a pattern, they seem to know what command will come next, & anticipate! And as I'm pretty easy to amuse at this point, I dissolve into giggles & it turns into a slobber-fest! Once I start laughing, they think that means I need kisses! Now that almost everything's healed I don't have to worry about slobber too much anymore!
Thank you so much........I'll update! You all just are so very wonderful, thank you again!

Jackie, it's a late-entry from before. It just came, and it's not from me. It's from another forum member. I'm merely passing it along because your address is not public.

But Combover is happy to oblige! ;-)

Hi Jackie,

It is always good to see you posting here, as I think about you just about everyday, wondering how you are doing.  I sure hope you get an encouraging report tomorrow. . I can remember actually shaking as I called the office for my mom's ca-125 results sometimes. The anticipation can be very stressful!

I have heard from Abby and she is doing ok, but is still grieving over the loss of her two beloved dogs. I don't know anything about Hexe.

You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.  Xxxxx
