Hi guys, I'm ok, discouraged but ok. Having some Internet difficulties, I can't load this site sometimes , especially with the pad, so now I'm using the stupid phone. I had the tube out, of course the quarter sized opening left behind is now draining buckets of fluid, I'm having to change or reinforce the dressing every couple of hours. If this doesn't slow down I'll have to go BACK to the freaking hospital & get another drain....it's so frustrating. And it's so cold, & supposed to snow again tomorrow....ok I'm done whining. I appreciate your kind thoughts! I promise, if anything were to happen to me, my daughter will post
& let you know, so please don't worry, if you don't hear from me, it's the Internet!
Love you all, jackie harris

And Char, you are right, they usually give the taxol over 5 hours, & they gave it over 3 hours because the doc had the orders written wonky & they had to do  blood work first....you are one sharp cookie! jackie harris

Sorry to hear that Jackie, I so hope you'd be feeling better.  I was checking today to see if you posted, but it wasn't because I thought you bit the dust you nut, I know you're stronger than that.  I was just hoping that the procedure went well and everything was fine.  It sucks to hear you're having an issue, I'll carry you through my day tomorrow, sending nothing but positive thoughts.

Hey Jackie, It is so good to hear from you, but I am sorry to hear that your getting a lot of fluid oozing out of the incision area. I hope it slows down and you don't need another drain. As as far as the infusion goes, I just remember the nurses keeping the infusion at a slower rate when the patients showed any sign of a reaction. I stayed with my mom during all of her treatments and she had many over the course of 7 years. It was life changing for me. It was an experience I will never forget and will always cherish, as strange as that may sound. I met so many amazing brave and determined people, of whom I will never forget. They inspired me in so many ways, in the same way you inspire me. You are all my heroes! My mom was my greatest hero ever, for many reasons. She was very much like you. She was incredibly courageous and determined, she had a positive attitude and was also loving, kind, compassionate and selfless. I miss her everyday. I hope one day to be half the person she was. She was amazing and so are you, Jackie. Keep on fighting! Xxxxxxx
