Nice looking dog. Myself I prefer the dog with muzzle and no suit.Imo the dog does not have to make contact like your videos for me he just needs to show the will. As I said at the start if the dogs frame of mind is correct he will do what he needs to that is why I don't use a suit. I have no videos of a muzzle attack but when I get a chance I will show you what I'm trying to explain I prefer arm chest myself. The leg bite was to see what he would go for when presented. legs arrived before the arms wher visible. It worked out perfectly for me as u can see by the video he grabbed the middle of the man . It just answered a question I had not put on front of him before. That was the idea of the test. I appreciate your videos 😉

Joan what you said is exactly what I tried to show OK dog was barking man walk up forced a bite but was never given an arm to bit so he had to grab what was ther. So he grab the groin right in the middle. He may have grabbed the torso if I had not of held him down

what make you think that i'm objecting or dismissing confidence? indeed i'm not. as long as transmitting confidence to dog by handler remains in balance with natural abilities of dog.
unfortunately more often opposite can be seen, when unsuitable dog being artificially encouraged to be more bold, embedding in such manner false confidence not backed by dog's real abilities.
as for video of your dog, there are clearly seen differences in dog's work in muzzle and without.
muzzled dog video don't show how that dog will fight when allowed to do this without muzzle.
second video is way more informative. obviously dog isn't familiar with things like moving toward him hand or wrapped around him legs can be dangerous and harmful. not because dog is weak but because dog have never experienced a danger from such opponent's movements.

bladeedge - regarding your comment at 1510, the purpose of the muzzle is to allow safe contact with the decoy, not just show will. Otherwise why burden the dog with it? We used a suit in my video so the dog can instantly bite once the muzzle was tossed. Not all dogs will spar like Beowulf with a muzzle strapped tight around their face. But he is an exceptional dog in drive and athleticism.

Truth..plus trained abilities in addition to natural.

Which is why we experiment and innovate (safely) despite the artificialities. :)

Bladeedge, I rather have a dog bite and hold a bad guy where your dog targeted....no man is going to be able fight back when a dog like yours has a full mouth full of the guy's junk!

Oh, you're referring to my dog, Body Jipo- me when he was only about 18 months old....after I put weeks of intense training him for schH 1 trial, I wanted to let him have some fun and run a 300 yard track to find the decoy.
He found him alright, up the hill and sitting ten feet off the ground up a tree. He had to jump up ten feet to grab the sleeve and almost pulled the decoy out of the tree. It was a lot of fun and had nothing to do with " real life" scenario...just letting the dog have some fun doing something different and off the training field.
But no, the decoy didn't feed the sleeve, if you only knew.
