Now, can this dog throw black pups?

by Dawulf on 09 August 2014 - 09:08
Kitkat, he almost looks more like he will throw sables and saddles. He looks to have more of a pattern to his tan. Very lovely pigment on him, either way!

Thanks Dawulf. He has put out a few bi-colors. I am just wondering if bred to solid black, if he can throw black. I hear that w/o tar heals, blacks don't come out, but not really sure if thats true.
I have seen blacks come from blk&tans without toe markings so not really sure how that works. There are so many different opinions written that I guess I will believe it, if I see it...lol
I really don't care what colors pups are as long as they are happy and healthy. I wouldn't mind getting anything that looks like any of the dogs posted here,
And would love, love, love one looking like Rookie....love that dog!

kitkat3478, if he has thrown bi-colors, then he carries either bi color or black & sable

Same dog, Black sable or not? I think so. Our Hannibal.

DUKES pic I reposted so we know who I am talking about..
A dark grey black patterned sable,.,...lol
explained to me because of the breaks in the side markings and not a solid no marks on body or chest etc is patterned.?/
Blanket means looks like the blanket thrown over the dog but sable...your pic has no blanket so Patterned....
BLANKET sable he happens to be red looks like a blanket over his back...because on under belly it it is red. Thors sire Moores Konig was out of a Red Sable and she was dark red ....

Because of the red legs not a black sable I do not call it..Not sure what the pros have it named...

Here is Bossie and her last litters pups her being on left bred to D'Loui a Zico v Merlin male..
