Speech that he promises all the workers if they support him and put him in office he will make sure they will not loose their jobs before he failed and over 7,000 florida NASA workers lost their jobs.

Making his remarks to an audience of several hundred at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida prior to the start of a one-day "Conference on the American Space Program" for the 21st Century", President Obama reassured those in attendance about his support for NASA.

I have not found the other speech promising the next day to the next group he spoke to that explains he will cut funding for NASA as they want if they support him. I will look some tomorrow if I have the time.

More mass job losses on the way, eight mines will be closed and over 1200 will be jobless.

Reports also say that the east coast is going to be hit with longshoreman strike and that will cripple thousands more dependent on their jobs. More will loose their homes and it is not because their homes cost more than they should like most of you seem to think is the only reason people are loosing them.

Today, income redistribution occurs in some form in most democratic countries. In a progressive income tax system, a high income earner will pay a higher tax rate than a low income earner. The difference between the Gini index for an income distribution before taxation and the Gini index after taxation is an indicator for the effects of such taxation.

I haven't been able to find anything that supports this Nasa claim. Where is your proof, Newbie? Didn't President Obama cancel NASA's plan to replace the space shuttle in favor of a more modest program, and then the GOP Congress slashed the funding for that? How does that make Obama totally responsible for the job losses?

by Blitzen on 19 September 2012 - 12:09

So a longshoremen's strike would be Obama's fault too? What's your point?

Everyone here is saying everyone is doing better these days and that the economy is recovering and it is not. He promised to keep those workers employed at NASA in the speech linked even if shuttles got cancelled and they lost thier jobs after believing that speech.

Even an ardent Fabian socialist knew:

"A government that robs Peter to pay Paul, can always count on the support of Paul."--George Bernard Shaw

So the Congress' cutting the funding for a more modest program had nothing whatsoever to do with the NASS job loss? Are you serious?  Did you look at the stats of the job situation when Obama took office as compared to today? Do  you realize we were loosing thousands of jobs every month under Bush and that he created fewer jobs in 8 years in office than any other President? And you think we should go back to the same plan?

What about the strike? What does Obama have to do with that?
