I own the brother of the two sisters above, Sero Atticus von Hayden (Green Male) and here is the entire litter, I would like to have an update on Spirit von Hayden and the Blue Male from this litter if anyone knows who owns them :)  I would also like to know what some of you think about the Pedigree of this litter.  I love my dog no matter the opinions and know what he's capable of I'm just curious :)

I'm surprised no one has an opinion on the pedigree I'm no expert I just thought someone would have something to add :)  If anyone has looked you can PM me if you like if you do not wish to post your thoughts.

people are paying these prices and not getting papers. i guess P.T. Barnum said it best.

I truly understand that my favorite flavor is Cherry :).... I'm just curious of what you may think of the Pedigree

The, it's a nice pedigree. But what makes it a "von Haden" pedigree. Looks to me it is a von haus sevens, saltzablick, eichenluft pedigree. I doubt any of these breeders would have put conditions on the papers at the prices stated here.

Without even a backward glance I would walk away from folks who put any kind of restrictions (breeding restriction, limited registration, mandatory spay/neuter et al) on the dog I plan to purchase.....unless we are talking about sums in the $150-$250 range for a puppy.  Just my personal philosophy.

THEskridge,

people have opinions and they have shared them with you. You might get a little put off because they are not as excited about your puppy as you are.
Puppy withour papers is...sorry but not worth much to many people who have been in a game for a long time. It is worth a nice pet. I as many don;t want to have someone else call the shots on my dog I paid a load of money for. you can have the best dog but without papers you can't do much....Too much controll froma stranger in my life makes mi a little unhappy, even if it is only about a dog.

So good luck and enjoy your dog.

Oh no not put off at all, I was just curious...as for the papers yes that was a goof on our part, I'd never buy another dog without the papers first and not having to certify him first. I've been a fan of von Hayden shepherds for awhile...I just didn't do enough research into the "norm" when you purchase a dog/papers. It seems several owners are under different obligations for their papers. We don't breed or anything of that nature but yes when you purchase a dog for what we paid for we should have had the papers a long time ago :) I do appreciate the opinions.

Bingo !  If altruism is what guides their breeding philosophy, then they should not be charging an arm and a leg for the puppy, once they identify the "right home".  I believe we are talking about sums in the 1500+ range for a working line "pet" puppy with a non-breeding agreement. Why blame the breeder when there are people willing to pay such sums and agree to those attached strings, and feel that the breeder did them a favor ?

I second that bitch fight mess....I just got bit last week breaking up a horrendous fight...and yes, they were going to kill each other....! If not for my youngest son coming to rescue me...one or both would be dead...never fought before...always out with me...grew up together...in an instance they were locked in a battle.....One must go....!
