Thanks to all for their views and comments. I can see both sides of the comments. First a few clarifications:
I am a male, Shaz is short for Shahzad.
The GSD in question is not mine, but one I was loooking to buy.
My main objective is to buy a well bred, young female with the right colours, temperament and good health to keep as a pet and later to buy a male and breed her maybe once or twice for personal and NOT commercial use. I have a few friends and relatives who are also keen on GSD's and I hope to gift them with, hopefully, great pups ( what could be a better gift) and keep two or three for myself.
I understand and can see both sides of this ongoing arguement about straight lines. I personally think that a straight back looks much better then a curved/ roach back.
As some of you have, kindly noted and pointed out, its very difficult to buy from the internet. Unfortunately, I am in Pakistan and extremely busy with work and have no other alternative then do go down this route. Anyway, I feel that as my knowledge is limited ( but I am learning), seeing a GSD in person would not be that much of a help as I don't know how to read/ understand pedigrees to be certain of making the right choice.
If someone has the time to help/ advice me in looking at/ reading the pedigrees please let me know. Your help would make a huge difference and be very much appreciated. Thanks again.
Best regards
shaz ( Parents always wanted a girl!!)

I dont like her shoulder. Motherline is interesting. Sire is well known producer.
You could breed her back to Zamp grandson with very pronounced shoudler like these.

With Zamp in her lines you have many possibilities. These three are just from looking for about 10 minutes.
In the big picture, your just getting started. Save yourself the headache and go here.

--- >Do you really never take a look at the advertisements ???
NO, I dont even notice them. In fact, I stated a thread about that particular subject, entitled *Be still, my heart*. I never notice them, EVER, but one day a pup caught my eye, and it was the first time I noticed they were even there..
--- >You didn´t even ask the OP for what kind of dog out of what reason he was looking for
I thought he had previously stated that he wanted a pet that maybe he would eventually breed. I think he mentioned that in another thread, however. If he was going to breed, for any reason,he should use good quality.
-- >There ARE people on the world who are NOT interested in your anticipation of a German Shepherd dog.
Oh, so very sorry
I didnt see him say he wanted everyone's opinion but Marjorie's ;)
I must have missed that part of his post....gif)

Only to Marjorie...
What´s going on here?
It´s a pity we can´t discuss in German....maybe my English still isn´t good enough to understand American discussions...
In my opinion you are rude, unpolite, and small-minded.
Living in a democracy people are allowed to have their own mind. They should be able to talk to each other, and they should be able to respect and tolerate the opinion of others.
You behave like the all-knowing breed warden, you seem to be the messager of salvation, you alone know the truth...
All your smilies, fat spelled letters, and colored phrases don´t make your sentences more important.
I´m asking for respect, nothing more and nothing less. Everybody on earth deserves it, it´s even written down in your constutution.
For Shaz:
Sorry,this thread went this way.
Take care about health, think about temperament, and for the outlook of your new k9 familly member believe in your heart.
Good luck!
All the best to you!

He asked for opinions- I gave mine, as everyone else did. You jumped on me for expressing my opinion, so actually, you were being rude. I do not believe I am the only person who feels that if one is going to breed, they should breed following the standard. The standard is what makes a breed a breed.
--- >I´m asking for respect, nothing more and nothing less
as do I...
--->All your smilies, fat spelled letters, and colored phrases don´t make your sentences more important.
They werent meant to make my sentences more *important*- they were mean to emphasize certain key words. Before accusing another of being intolerant, you certainly need to look at yourself, first. IMHO, you dont want to hear what doesnt agree with your line of thinking. Again, I was following the standard.

No smiles and colors any more? I miss them...
Marjorie: " Nope- not the direction I want to see the breed going...Heaven no!"
This was your first post on this topic - I call it rude...but maybe it´s only my personal feeling.
There are always ways to express a personal opinion in a kind and grown up way,
It´s late over here, good night!

Now THAT was rude ;) BIG difference
--- >Marjorie: " Nope- not the direction I want to see the breed going...Heaven no!"
-- >This was your first post on this topic - I call it rude...but maybe it´s only my personal feeling.
I have every right to want the breed to follow the standards of the breed founder, so , yes, its your own personal feeling, just as THAT is MY personal feeling.. If you can have your personal feelings, why am I not entitled to mine? You personally attacked me over my desire to want the breed to follow the standard. I never communicated with you on this thread but yet you chose a personal attack. That, in my book, is rude.
