All granulated dog food is not as good or not even close to meat. The discussion here is about which crap in shiny bag is better.

We have fed Holistic Select Lamb to multiple dogs (GSD and Malinois) and have had great luck with it. It seems to be a very good food across the board for many different dogs. All the dogs have done very well on it. It is a great "middle of the road" food that seems to digest well, and all have kept weight on well.
We feed it to pups and adults.

Earthborne right? I feed the same Holistic Lamb grain free. Had issue with TOTW, switched no problems. If I could get Origen easiler I would. If it were in my pet shop I would buy it regardless of cost. Origen Red I think, dont know the puppy version. Since they do not carry it, because of price, I do not press the issue lol, but the Earthbourne (Spelling?) Lamb grain free has been fantastic for both the GSD and frenchie. An all life stage dog food.

i feed Fromm Gold and or Fromm 4 star, love this food and it also is made at the Fromm factory here in wisconsin, never been on recall, its a super good food, another food made here in wisconsin made at the Fromm factory is American natural premium, this one is a very decent food for price.
i would make sure to feed a large breed puppy food for the first 6 months, i dont think all life stages has everything a puppy needs.i would also agree with Go, Acana,Orijen, Merrick,Evo and a few others are really good foods.

Taste of the Wild is an ALS (All Life Stage) food.
To answer your question though, I usually switch my pups from puppy food to adult at around 6-8 months old.

I would get him off of the rice. Dogs don't need rice, they cannot digest it properly. If you want a carb then cook up sweet potatoes.

I would feed Large Breed Puppy food for slow and steady growth. The cheaper the food the more filler it has.Lotsf more poop to clean up and not enough nutrients.
Wellness has a large Breed food. It's Grain and Corn free.
So far my GSD all had a wheat allergies.
The one I just adopted I think is allergic to Chicken and/or Turkey so I'm trasitioning to all fish. But she's an adult.
