Kalibeck

Pretty good, Susie. I have one more day of antibiotics, then we'll see. If i don't start spiking temps I'll be able to get the drain out, the area sclerosed, & then restart my chemo. I'm fighting for my disability benefits, may have to get a lawyer. But my hubby's healthy, dogs are great, & I'm listening to Hexe's song "Happy" to get my self going in this very cold weather....you all have helped us stay afloat...given my circumstances, I couldn't be better! Thank you for asking!
How's winter treating you? I hope very well! jackie harris

Happy to hear you're ok, Jackie...

But fighting for your disability benefits? WTH? I've seen people collect disability for dyslexia (seriously)...and YOU have to fight for them??? That just AIN'T right (and you know what a grammar stickler I am, so if I say ain't, I'm angry!) Angry Smile

Yeah, one would think that all it should take is one look at Jackie's data and her benefits would be granted in less than ten minutes.  Fact is, Jenni, that's pretty much become the drill now.  Angry   If you apply on your own, you're going to get denied.  Refile with an attorney, or file with an attorney from the start, and it's a cakewalk.  Shouldn't be the way it goes, but that's what it's come to in the past 10-15 years.

Yeah, it sucks. They are making me jump through paper hoops, fortunately my docs are all helping, so that should make a difference. I contacted a cancer patients legal service, but so far they are skating right along the edge of being legal...ethical, no. Cancer patients are a big expense. It sucks that people who are so very ill have to continually advocate for themselves, but that's the way it works. And I will, until my last breath, if only because it pisses me off, too! jackie harris

Knowing that you have to fight for your disability benefits at a time like this just burns me! Grrrr! I'm so sorry, Jackie.

I'm glad to hear you are at least feeling pretty good, all things considered, and everyone else is well. Praying that you can get that drain out very soon and resume your chemo AND that you get your disability benefits soon!

Hugs, Char

I can't believe they'd put you through that after everything else you're going through.  Not very sick-friendly are they?  I hope you get it straightened out soon and get back on track once the drain is out and I'm sure glad you're feeling better!

Thanks Char & GSD, I just can't wait for it to come out....! I'm just praying I stay well once the antibiotics have stopped! Thank you! jackie harris

Glad to hear at least the rest of your 2- and 4- legged family is doing well!
Get a lawyer and let him kick their ass!
No real winter yet over here, I´m missing the snow. It´s strange...
Keep you spirit, better times will come, I´m sure!
