ghostly

It's great to hear Chrissy finally able to speak her peace as to what really happened although I have a feeling Hans will call her a liar just like he does to all that have got dogs that he screwed them on.  Hans is great with you until he has your money and then contact him about a problem with the dog and he will do his best to turn it around on you as he tried with Chrissy.

Debbie, you really don't have a clue as to who I am and to think I was a woman that you let in to a seminar and wrote a commission check to,  Just cause I brought out a repeat client of yours that you admitted sending the wrong puppies to and then on top of that the male and female were very ill which also surprises me due to having a medical career behind you and one like yourself didn't see that diarrea was a problem since you are the one that cleans up after the pups, cause Han couldn't bend over to tie his shoes it needed.

Chrissy, glad you got the money back so that now you can spend your time getting Kaiser the help that he so badly needs. You are an upstaning person in my book.  Thru this whole ordeal your main goal was to get Kaiser the vet attention he so badly needs.

Hans, Koodos to you for driving out there and refunding the money. Although, this is something that should have been done along time ago, and it would have never come to light like it has now. I am happy to see you gave Chrissy a full refund plus the shipping.

Chrissy, my offer still stand, I will donate what I can to help you and Kaiser. I do not feel you should have to pay ONCE RED CENT for the hip surgeries.

I am so glad that for whatever reason Chrissy has had her money refunded. Chrissy, please let us all know that the check clears, and where we can send a donation. I feel that we can then make sure that Kaiser has everything in place for his future surgeries. Of course we would like full updates of how he is getting on, we want to be cheering him on!

Fingers crossed for those elbows, please let us know ASAP.

Debbie,
You say, the warranty is the warranty etc etc. Yet you admitted in an earlier post that you ignored the warranty when you wanted to get rid of a customer, and gave a full refund (so that wasn't fair to all your other customers was it???). So the warranty can be overridden at your choice whenever you wish, and that was my point all along.

If this were my business I would be reviewing the terms of that warranty for the better. Better for your reputation and better for your customers.

Chrissy
We are SO happy you finally got a refund. Now you can move forward with taking care of Kaiser as best as possible!
Ok, let's say you can once you know for sure the "Czech" will clear the bank.

It was also super you came here and clarified some things too in regards to the timeline in which the overbite was discovered etc.
I don't think any reasonable person can fault you for not trusting Alpine K9/Jinopo to stand by the pup they sold you when it took you so long just to make
contact after discovering the over bite.

Please let everyone know as soon as you get Kaiser's elbows done what the results are, then if all is well, please post the Vet clinic name & info that you
will be using for Kaisers surgery. Inform them that there will be donations coming in for Kaiser's surgery, so they can credit your account properly. This way, you will also hopefully have more than enough funds to cover hydro therapy etc after surgery.

Good for you for standing up for yourself & Kaiser, and sticking by a dog many would have cast aside!

Looks like Hans also might be looking into getting a different partner to help with pups and decision making. I don't recall so much bullshit phoniness before Debbie got into the "dog business" with him. Maybe it was still there, just not on the forefront and now it's doubled up. Takes longer than a couple years to be knowledgable enough to be consulting people on dogs. Maybe that's why there are so many screw ups with wrong dog to airport, vet switched pups in boxes, on and on. Sounds like Laurel and Hardy could do a better job. Anybody could have prevented the stinking scours smeared on a puppy and mixed in with worms like speggetti in the crate when he arrived to his home. Hire somebody to whelp and raise pups with expertise and knowhow. Save every animal and customer involved a lot of misery.

I am delighted that you have got your refund.

Even more delighted that Kaiser can hopefully have an op to help his hips now, whatever the cost.

I wish FHO had been an option for my severely dysplastic dog, but at nearly 9 years old now she still soldiers on enjoying life.

Wishing you and Kaiser all the best..

YEAH his elbows were cleared, that is one hurdle you don't have to worry about..

If anyone is interested in time lines, go to the gsd board look her up and you'll see, she received the dog on June 15 which she posted on June 16, and on June 17 she had emailed the breeder about his overbite..All there in black and white:)

as for "ghostly",,Chuck, gosh I never knew you were a woman (snicker snicker LOL)

In the end, I am very happy for Chrissy & Kaiser, still ready to send a donation should you need it, wishing  you the best, you deserve it.

Happy with the outcome, but i still have that 'nagging' feeling if chrissy had never posted in the first place, I seriously doubt she would have gotten any compensation, which is really sad to me.  I used to really admire the breeders, their dogs and considered one for the future, but methinks I'll look elsewhere..

You bet this helped Chrissy to get the refund. And this is going to put some dent in his pocket. Everyone reading this thread should let Prager Hans know how wrong he was to handle this problem in the way and time he did.

by frankm205 on 03 January 2012 - 13:01

This definately helped Chrissy get her refund. Anyone else who has had similar problems with this kennel should come here and let us know it.
Hopefully these and other dealers will get the message not to take advantage of people, especially here!!!

I am glad that you all are glad. But I assure you, that you had absolutely nothing to do with the refund I gave to Chrissy. Everything went the way it did regardless of you calling me and Jiri names.
I always  had an agreement with Jiri that if the overbite does not get better in
8 mo of his age, as it sometimes  does,  we would revisit the issue. I told Chrissy, after she refused replacement since she could at that time and situation she was in   keep only  one dog  , that at 8 mo of the pup's age, we would like to see what happened to the overbite. On the money part we ( I and Jiri)  went back and forth, indeed. The reason is that warranty clearly states no money back claimed Jiri. He said ( I paraphrase); I made mistake and  send the  pup with problem which I (he) did not catch, thus let's give her a good pup right now." It kind of  makes sense.   I was actually like you telling him that this is "our" mistake and we should give money back. I say "our" as a business since there is no way that I personally could have caught this during brief encounter at the airport in middle of the night . Chrissy did not catch it either. You just could  not see it unless you looked in the pup's mouth.
I have understood  his point but disagreed with him, but  I would not go against his wishes as he does not go against mine and I believed that after 5.5  mo if the problem is stilll there he would see it from different angle.

The dog is now 8 mo.  I called Jiri and he told me  that we should give Chrissy the choice of replacement again and then if she still can not have another dog  to give her the  money. In that order. Fair enough to me.  I, in my communication with Chrissy,  thus offered replacement again. She actually said that she "can not think about another dog for at least 6 more months". That indicated to me that maybe she would take replacement after the 6 mo. She already knew about the warranty not having time limit on it. Thus I offered her a pup which she could keep or  sell at any time it would be acceptable to her and offered her to send  a client to her if she decide to sell it. She refused that since she does not have the infrastructure to do so and asked if I could sell the pup for her. I told her that that is like giving her the money back. No difference.  Thus I went with  to give her money back. And I did.
You may not like what happened  or how we did it and that is you prerogative. Mistake was made and pup with over bite was send and you can harp on that for 10 more pages here. Knock your self out. But there was not cover up or anything else which would be nefarious, going on.
If we are alerted to the problem, then we always honor our warranty and more. We always try to make the customer as happy as much as we possibly can. Thousands of customers through 30+ years of me selling, breeding, importing, training dogs in USA and people to whom I helped with their breeding program regardless if they bought a dog from me or not can attest to that.

The only other thing to be addressed here  is the 10 days hiatus after the  initial communication. That happened since I was out of town and the call was made when I was out of decent phone range and analog reception in the area was very choppy. I was in middle of nowhere in Wickieup, AZ.
I have told Chrissy that I will call her after I got home. And I did call her. I did Call her  and got  voice mail directly. I did not like to leave a message and I thought it would be better if I will call her again.   She claims no record of the call which is possible since the call went directly to voice mail. Then since I was gone for a week, the work piled up on me and yes I did not call back in timely fashion.
I am sorry for that and I understand that that may not be an excuse, but it definitely was the reason. I do not claim that I am well organized  and perfect in all my action. God knows I am not.  But regardless what  you assume, I was not trying to avoid her. After that I was in communication with Chrissy and I have never refused or avoided to communicate with her.

As far as you concern for quality my check, I will have to disappoint you. There will be no reason for you to give me any crap for a bad check over here.
Hans
