After all of your generosity, I didn't want you to think I was ignoring you by not posting, but I landed myself back in the hospital....Christmas Eve I had a temperature of 102.8 & chills, my abdominal drain suddenly stop producing the great volumes of fluid it had been, & my pain level went through the roof. And Ansgar wouldn't leave me alone, Carl even crated her finally, & she tried to dig through the floor of her kennel, which is not normal for her. If she couldn't be at my side she was a whining mess. I toughed it out until this am, but I couldn't eat or drink anything; & this morning when I called the doctor, they called me back with a room assignment. But now I have a pain medicine pump, which is helping SO much... & they'll work me up to find out what going on, they've already sent every kind of fluid you can wring out of a body for testing, & I've just been presented with a lovely cup of contrast materiel to drink...yum! Nothing like contrast when you're already nauseous!
so please forgive me if I'm quiet for a day or so, I'll update whenever there's anything worth sharing...& thanks again for your awesome support! Love to you, my PDB friends, jackie harris

Gal, you do what you need to do [though listening to Dr Ansgar needs to be moved up on your list--no more toughing stuff out when she says something's not right with you!] As Jenni said, the goal here was to try and make things easier on you, to try and relieve some of your stress and worry--not to make you feel like another obligation got added on! We are the "Oh-bla-di/Oh-bla-da/Obligation?/NoNoNoNoNoNo" contingent, no strings. Get some rest, and update us after you're feeling much better. Love and support continuing to be sent your way.

As ever, we are rooting for you.
As ever, we are rooting for you.

Jackie,
I'm glad they found out the problem and took care of it. Hopefully everything is resolved and you won't have any more "bumps" for awhile. You are such an amazing woman and continue to inspire me. As others said, focus on getting better and don't worry about things you shouldn't be worrying about. What your friends here on the PDB gave you was a gift. A gift is: Something given voluntarily without payment in return, as to show favor toward someone, honor an occasion, or make a gesture of assistance; present.
You continue to have my support and prayers. Hang in there! You will get through this! xxxxxxxx
