I´m glad you "only" cried - to be honest, we were afraid of your reaction...
Believe me, at least I am neither kind nor generous, but sometimes in life you do have " this feeling " - resulting in the strong desire to help, even if it´s only a littlebit.
Maybe it´s enough for one step upwards, although it´s a high hill, and most of the way you have to go by yourself.
Take care!

Yeah, I was a little scared, too.
Whew!
Energy/prayer/whatever you want to call it is powerful. When you have so many on your team, sending good thoughts, prayers, whatever, it DOES help. I hope the other thread is at least a reminder to those who can't donate to at least send positive energy and prayers, as they can be as powerful as medicine! State of mind is everything, Jackie! Lean on us a little bit about the trivial stuff (dog food, spare change;-)) and concentrate on de-stressing. Focus on healing. The rest will take care of itself.

Jackie, I'm glad they've got the drain in and at least you won't be enduring having a 'water balloon' pushing your abdominal organs around and stealing their space. As for the amount of the fluid, I remain Team Dr. Ansgar--if she's not persistently interested in it, that's good enough for me.
Go with your visualization exercises, and envision this fluid as a stream of all the negatives the world bombards you with, your shitty boss, your fears and worries and any cell that even considers it might go rogue, all draining out of you in the form of this lymphatic fluid.
Sorry we've made you cry, but at least this cry was triggered by your heartstrings being tugged. Jenni's said it, susie's said it, hell, everybody has expressed it in one form or another--you've got a very loving, giving spirit and outlook, and there's a lot of folks who will probably never have the pleasure of meeting you in person yet have been able to feel your warmth through the airwaves.
Consider our actions to be hugs from each and every one of us, reaching across the miles in the only way presently possible, as well as an expression of appreciation from all the people you've been there for over the course of your career as a caregiver and comforter to your patients.

Dear Jackie:
Wishing you only well and the best.
May you gain strength during these days of joy and giving and enjoy the peace of knowing that you are loved by many.
Cancer is a difficult diagnosis but there are many, such as myself, who are here as witness to "the life after cancer".
Wish I could do more than just offer you words, but be assured that my positive thoughts are with you.
Happy holidays to you and your family.
God bless you!

I am so Blessed to have such words of support and encouragement, I thank you very much for your support.
If I am not mistaken, you used to post here a lot several years ago, and you mentioned your diagnosis; I have thought of you over the years and wondered how you were doing....I am so grateful to hear of your survivorship! I mistakenly once asked Sunsilver if she was feeling better, thinking that was you,
! But know that it warms my heart to hear from you!
Especially today, after another setback. Thankfully, I WILL be able to go back on disability, but I was unable to have my HDR yesterday, as after examination the doctor said the area was newly bleeding, and my drainage from my abdomen has now turned bloody....I have to go back to my oncologist & get a pet scan to find out why everything is now bleeding.
But my hubby, who is an infamous Grinch, decided to get a Tree this year! I'm in Heaven! The smell is so lovely! And the purchase supported my grandsons Boy Scout troop! And the dogs love it! Beckett ran up to it, lined himself up, & thankfully looked back at me to get the OK before he peed on it! Lol! So I'm going to decorate it, & hopefully I'll have some Christmas pictures to post!

LOL@ Beckett!
Jackie, you may recall it was Sunshine's gorgeous male GSD who diagnosed her cancer. He literally saved her life! (I also remember her posting a dog food commercial he starred in, He was quite the handsome boy!)
Here's a little something to give you a smile:

That's funny, Sunsilver, & just what Beckett had in mind!
So Sunshine & I were both diagnosed by our GSD! And we both owe our dogs our lives! It is a wonderful world in so many ways....
I am very humbled to know how truly magnificent our GSD are....I sometimes wonder why i am so blessed, to have the love of such awesome creatures, & to have so many friends & folks that i consider family! I would love to see those pictures, if they're still available...?
thank you all, so much!
