Congratulations on 4 healthy pups. How old is the bitch? Our last litter we only ended up with 3 huge pups, the last 2 had to be born via c-section. Ended up the bitch (6 years old) had a bunch of cysts on her ovaries which is probably why she only had 3 pups after having litters as large as 11 before that. We had her spayed.

I can almost feel the puppy fir. A smaller litter is easier one momma dog. She looks well.

Fawn, I definitely would not WANT her to have had 14 pups, but we were hoping for a few more! 6 to 8 would have been a nice sized litter...
These boys are all HUGE. Of the 2 firstborn, one was 19 oz. and one was 13. Not sure of the weights on the other two.

Congratulaions beautiful puppies and mum certainly looks pleased with herself.
I once had a litter of 9 boys and only had orders for girls (murpy's law) but they did all find wonderful homes.

I have new pics, but just haven't been able to find time to post them!
Bella is a fantastic mom, and the pups are all thriving, and beginning to learn how to use their legs!
BTW, all 4 are up for sale (I think!)

We occasionally have a national level helper come out to our club (Anthony Hartelaub, he'll be helping at the WUSV World Championships this fall in France.) He says Bella has a bite like an alligator, and we should have no problems getting her IPO degrees. Her previous owner gave her up due to lack of time, after breeding her once.
