Kinda like Chimera. Not saying panda shepherds are Chimera but it is a mutation not a genetic issue. Well until some Genius decided to make it "genetic".

Liver and blues and whites brindles etc etc IS genetic.

i thought Demi and Dione were the same BUT didn't want to state it without actual facts. :)

I'm with you, Duke. That Franka dog doesn't look pure gsd, to me. Plus, he is TICKED, not the same gene as a white spot. Who says this is the first panda?

DNA testing is king, common sense and experience are obsolete.
I have a fifteen year old Smooth Fox Terrier sleeping next to me right now who is black and tan and white, with red ticking down her legs where the tan markings would be if she didn't have white legs. Her body is black ticked all through the white, where she would have been solid black on her body without the white....same as that "first Panda gsd". Not a spontaneous mutation, but inherited from many generations of ticked dogs behind her.
