YR    Let me know when you are coming and I will meet up with you.

Barb I am not hyped at all. But I do really like Bomber, in fact I have only seen two dogs I liked better and they are dead. He produces lots good dogs as well, who else does that? On top of all of that he is close and I can breed to him.

An Interesting thread, and although i would not want a Pup with SL in it being a little bias because the Pup would be for working in the Sport, and that is my only reason. If Troopscott wants the Pup for other reasons then go ahead and have this Pup. at the end of the day it is only opinions. But if the Mother of the Pup is sound and we know Bomber is then have it with confidence and enjoy it

I re read the OPs first post again and he says he will use it for sport purposes? Well i would be a little wary on the outcome of this mating for use in the Sports sector but who knows stranger things have happen but at the end of the day Genitices will rule

Had to smile at these posts as several of the UK  'purely Showline' dogs
I have been associated with had Seffe and Lasso in their pedigrees.  So,
like Paul, I am inclined to like those two very much.  Perhaps not for the
exact same reasons, though ?

Not too long ago Ursus was touted as the biggest gift to the breed to come along in many years. The ASL people thought the same of Lance. It took several  generations for them to understand that those dogs were greatly overused. Some "outcrossing" of Bomber to SL's might benefit the breed in the long run?

We just purchased a bomber x roxy pup today. Paul G, how old is your pup? We are very excited! In our search for a pup we took a lot into consideration and the decision took months. Not only the dog lines but the kennel, the trainer, future support, etc, etc. We feel confident we made the right decision. Can't wait to see what the future holds!! :)

Paul G, are you happy with her?

Troopscoot, congratulations on the upcoming puppy! :-) The way I see it, if you saw Enka and you liked what you saw in her, then I'm very happy for you that you'll get a pup from her.

I don't understand all of these negative comments when you've obviously thought this through and have found what you're looking for with both sire and dam. And, I gotta say the whole attitude of 'well, that's not the type of dog I want' or 'well, that dog has some ancestors that I don't like' is really rude. Not everyone is looking for the same thing in their dogs, and to assume that one's own perspective and view on a particular subject (read: dogs) is so important that one must be negative about another person's joy is just stupid. I have a showline and I think she's beautiful and smart (and sure, pretty stubborn, a smidge reactive) but is she so much worse because of her pedigree? My husband and I are planning on getting a working line GSD in a few years, but that's not out of some snooty reaction towards Shelby or other SL's. It's because we find both lines beautiful and would like to have both.

So, as I said before, Troopscoot, I'm happy that you have found what you're looking for, and anyone that tries to remove that happiness from you or soils it in any way is just not worth minding.

NA7  Yes I like her very much.
