I was more responding to GSDPack's post than yours. Just wanted to present another side to the "scary" post about small dogs w/DM.

Or we can ignore all shit all together.. as I said, do whatever the hell you want with the info. This could help someone make decisions on pairing dogs and if it helps one person... my "scary" post about small dogs with DM.. then guess what, I am pretty happy.
I did not post it to change someones mind, I posted to inform someone about a possibility of results, so they are not surprised as someone who has done the breeding and unfortunatelly came back with small dogs. Nothing wrong with sharing info as what to watch for. I was raised in community of breeders who shared the info they learned so other could learn...or ignore it.

I sold three Orry progeny, beautiful dogs, nice dogs, with each dog I told the new owhers the same thing, watch the sizes in first breeding to see what they produce and learn from it. Two of them were DM carriers. Still these dogs are worked and utilized fom breeding and were recommended by people who know dogs in Czech. But the common remark on Orry s progeny was the light eye and the size.. so some breeders in Czech had to eliminate some VERY nice dogs because they did not meet the size (live and learn). But hell what do those people know right?
The DM remark came because I had some of the dogs tested as I had people in the US who test for DM, so I saw the results... and I think it is only fair to inform people who want to know this. One dog was not DM tested.

And Yes I am very short today....

Cool...my first hijacked thread:)

Still looking for a video of Orry...and reading up on DM and DNA testing.

Wow, angry.......

Just making a point that overreacting due to a test that is FAR from proven to mean anything may well be cutting off one's nose to spite one's face.

I have nothing with any Orry lines, so I personally could not care less. I was merely playing devil's advocate.

@Gsdpack....I like to hear first hand information....doesn't mean that it will color view of a dog or a breeding....but it all is filed in my little small computer( my head...lol), and may come in handy down the road. I seldom allow tests, certifications, or titles exclusively make decisions for me anyway. With Orry, I have heard good stuff, and also some of the stuff you have mentioned....it all has to be factored for me.

Nonetheless, I am really hoping for puppies from the breeding to Erri.  My female is very nice and we should get some awesome puppies.  There may not be a litter of GSDs born that does not carry something undesireable in the background.  We just do the best we can with the information we have, X-ray, test for what we can, breed the best dogs we can find, and hope it works out.

wanderer I am sure you will be happy

Gustav exactly my point, Orry has proven himself more than enough.. but what dog is perfect?!

Oh and the OP got the videos he was looking for however short and low quality they are. He also knows where to ask for more if there are any.
