Looks Good and Normal to me

by Blitzen on 25 May 2012 - 23:05

IMO hips and elbows are within the normal range for breed and age.

Smiley, re 'what is transitonal vertebrae?', I'm going to go all teacher-like on you, and tell you to look it up. :) I will help you, however, by providing the link to the info on the OFA site:

http://www.offa.org/hd_procedures.html

as well as to some other information on the anomaly:

Congrats on your girl passing her cardiac eval and being clear on her OFA DM assay!

by Nans gsd on 26 May 2012 - 02:05

WOW:  SMiley;  what a girl she can do it all without even having to train her.  Personally, I like that BUT you ARE lucky she has not hurt herself;  for l year she looks pretty good and knowing all that, she looks real good.  BOL with her,  Nan

Congrat's on cardiac and DM;  are you going to breed her?  Kudo's for letting her explore the world.  Nan

Thanks Ramage and Blitzen!!

Hexe- hahaha. ok. I'll try to reserach it. Thanks for links!

Yeah, you guys are right. She is a crazy girl. *sigh*

The ironic thing is that I carefully lift her out of the cars and off grooming tables. I have NEVER let her jump down from anywhere when she is in my control.

This pup is such a free spirit if you could label a dog as such. She has never had a bad day and is always happy and looking to explore. She is just so carefree.  She chases butterflies and sits back to watch birds fly overhead! Yet, is so biddable and always under control (even off leash with distractions). I have never had a dog like her before....if I could approach every day the way she does than it sure would be something.

Smiley, it's so wonderful to see how excited you are about your beautiful girl. It's always wonderful to see people who so throroughly enjoy thier animals. She sounds like a real treasure.

I can't comment on the radiographs, so I'll just keep my fingers crossed for you instead!

You should have had a translation form for the ED form the hd form is in english. Your vet must fill out and sign both forms. All your info must be on the xray. My vet opens a text box and puts it on the images. If not they will not accept them. Contact Joy Schultz from the WDA with any questions.
