"It would be good to see if you can get a Breed Survey on him. ...  I wonder if he would be the first Champion dog
in the UK in the last few decades to be able to do it."

LMFAO.

Can't see me passing a breed survey. Niether of us respond to double handling. I just trained him to the command watch and he looks alert enough.
Really clever dogs these GSD's.   LMFAO. John

Firstly to John, well done on Mallens hip/elbow results.I,d like to point out to Smiley that the GSD BREED COUNCIL here in the UK have been running breed surveys for ALL GSDS regardless of type for donkeys yrs,if my memory serves me right must be since the late 80,s early 90,s.so therefore there are MANY CH.gsds with a BREED SURVEY,albeit they are ALL of the INTERNATIONAL type(mostly german lines)altho a few ppl.who have gsds with a mixture of both english/german lines have presented their animals, some have attained Class 1,others Class 2,as have those of all german lines.Perhaps John would like to present Mallen for a breed survey when he,s 18 mths.old, will willingly advise him of when n where the next survey is.There is NO DOUBLE HANDLING at a survey, why should there be,it isnt a competition, its a examination of said gsd to the gsd standard as set down by the SV(uk. version is a simplified version of sv.one)All construction elements, such as propotions, height 2 length, leg length to depth of chest, temperament, gun sureness etc.Now i dont mean to be rude here admin, but the english side is always stating their gsds are correct n the german ones are not, here is a chance 2 prove us wrong.John knows me n knows my views where gsds in the uk are concerned.Anyhow regardless of type,i wish John n Julie all the very best with Mallen,Carole Spelman Rheinmeister gsds.

re:  the need for more "dogs who can put their paws in both worlds"

Which two worlds do you imagine Mallen has his paws in?

Linda.
