There is a way to make sure whether they're blacks or not by looking at their vent, if it's all black then they are solid black.
Maybe not, though. This rule of thumb is what has led breeders to call "bleedthrough blacks" solid black--what if bleedthrough blacks are bicolor without the tan vent at birth or as older dogs?

EXACTLY!
What I have noticed is the dogs that produce these "bleedthroughs" Generally there is a black dog in parents who actually has tan between the toes. As such, they are producing what I would call a Bi-color.
Both dogs posted are producing the same type of dogs. I think 1 was from a Sable parent with a Black recessive and the other was from a Tan parent with the Black recessive. They of course produce black because 1 of the parents IS truely black while the other has tan somewhere on their body. This is just what I'm gathering from observation...
For the Dominate Black dog that you posted do these people breed outside of their kennel? I'm noticing that they are posting a lot of Black pictures but not a lot of their B&T. Or some are lacking pictures and they seem to be breeding only in house. Is there any way to see their Kennel site in English?
