habanaro

I don't know where you guys are getting your figures.

There was a total of $2600 raised that amount will be split between the competitors.

Carlos deserves a great deal of credit for stepping up and raising the money that he did.  As always basically funding for world teams comes down to donations and fund raisers by volunteers.

Look at these people joining the board just to post complains and bad mouth
who are these people! and why do they know so many details?

by ramgsd on 28 August 2009 - 16:08

If you donated then I think you should be able to get the info on how much was raised and how it's to be distributed. That being said, I think it's also true that ; IF YOU DIDN'T DONATE, YOU DON'T NEED TO WORRY ABOUT IT.

JMHO.

Mystere

I donated...and I am NOT worried about it.   Competitors know when they declare for a team that they are going to essentially pay their own way.  The professionals competing with client dogs are the only ones who have someone else paying for them.

The funds donated were not sent to Carlos, they were sent to the AWDF treasurer.  NO room for shenanigans with the money.

It is  still mostly an amateur sport, after all.  Thankfully!

this is amazing
Mystere is agreeing with me
of course, Mr. Rojas will not do shenanigans
look at the masters do you think Helmut Raiser and Fritz Biehler would come if there are shenanigans
and Mystere is rich so she donated and she is not worried so why is Lou Reed worried?
Just go sing songs Lou and all you others who joined this board to make trouble for it's own sake

The AWMA give financial support to the Malinois members of the team.

Didn't the other breed clubs help out at all?

by Pat Relton on 30 August 2009 - 03:08

cant you read CARLOS ROJAS donated thousands and thousands of dollars

by HOT Mal on 30 August 2009 - 14:08

Hey, Christopher Smith,  exactly how much did the AWMA give each competitor?  Is this a new thing?  Because according to a Malinois competitor on a recent FCI team, the stipend from AWMA wasn't much...if anything!   If you want to make it seem like the AWMA gave financial support and no other breed club did, then you need to say exactly how much was donated.

Because the way I see it, a USA member raised funds for the entire AWDF team, no matter what breed club they're from, and that's cool.  Although now that you mentioned it, if the AWMA already gave financial support to its breed club members, then maybe that amount should be deducted from their portion from Carlos.  Sounds fair to me.
