Jyl

by Jyl on 18 December 2009 - 07:12

This is a pup from the last litter we had. I would call this pup a dark black and tan. The reason is that she does not have the tar heels, penciling on the toes and also has some tan on the face area.

Yes I believe she does.  I will double check this week at class.

Here is a bi-colored male:

I looked this morning at training, and YES, Bella has pencilling. Was going to describe it but don't have to now, since Hejnye's photo is so clear and that is exactly what Bella's coloring looks like! So that would be a melanistic bi color, according to the link above to the color chart. Bella's grandpa is black, so I wouldn't be surprised if she carries the black recessive.

Didn't have a chance to get on here yesterday... VM I love the picture! Too cute. :-)

Here's Indi' fat brother Ike. He has a tiny bit of tan eyebrows. I was under the impression that he is not bi-color but blanket tan. And of course you see some tan around his jowls and on his chest.

My male looks a lot like the one that is posted at the start of this thread.
I've often wondered also as some that see him call him a blanket back and others call him a bi-color.

No toe markings and lighter underside. His SV papers list him as black with tan markings.
