Oh, Jackie, I'm so sorry to hear that the lymphocele is making a second assault on you, and that the job situation is taking a turn into difficult waters. The added stress both are most certainly placing on you is worrisome. Should it happen, though, that you end up needing a drain that would prevent you from doing your present work, I can't conceive of there not being alternative positions with that employer where they could utilize your skills and experience without the drain being an issue.  If they can't or won't offer you some such arrangement, to me that means there's a better position waiting for you with some other employer when you're available to step into that role--with the education, talent and compassion you bring  to your field, you're an asset to be pursued.

Rest, rest, rest as much as you can. I believe it's all going to work out and there are better years on schedule for you and yours once these darker days dissipate. Love and hugs to you, Carl, your kids and your pack.

Wow, not understandable for a German...
Fight for your job, this behavior is not human, but let your lawyer do the work, you need all your power to become healthy now!
If there is anything we can do, don´t hesitate to ask for help ( people are happy to be able to help, so it´s help for ourselves, not only for you! ).
Living in Germany I for myself am not able to walk your dogs, but if necessary, I am able to help with some money, and others will too, I´m sure!
All the best

OOOOOOH Jackie I am sorry  they are adding this extra pressure for you now;  please contact the lawyer as when you are you are sick like you are I don't think they can threaten to take your job away...  That is a NO< NO:..  But concentrate on your well being if you can, I know it is easier said than done but try to put all your energies into yourself right now;  let your family and dogs help you heal and you will be back to your old self in no time.  Positive and healthy thoughts are coming your way.  HEALTHY holidays as well.  Nan

Oh thank you so much for your kind offers! I do not want to ask for assistance, but I don't know how dire things will get! So far, our step son has come to our rescue several times, & we are very grateful to him. My son has helped with supermarket gift cards, & my daughter has tried to be there whenever I had to have serious doctor visits, 'cause the doc says something & I latch onto that, & then I miss things-so a second set of ears is good to have! My step daughters have all been extremely supportive, calling & checking on me all the time...I promise if the worst happens & I am without income, I will ask....but until then, we can cope! Last week the dogs had left over turkey with rice and vegetables because we were broke, but they felt spoiled! And this week, they are getting kibble back in the mix, & looking at us like,"Hello, what's this? Seriously?" As long as they are loved, they accept our ups & downs...as i type Carl is cooking for them....they are loved & well cared for, my sanity & my souls...I love them so! I spoke with my doctor today & got another CT today. My doc said he will support, medically, any decision I make...he's a good man. Then thr building lost power & he about carried a frail elderly woman down 2 flights of stairs.
I will continue to accept prayer & positive energy! Teeth Smile my hair is coming in snow white, but it will all fall back out when I have my second round of chemo...*sigh*!  Thank you again, so very much....

Jackie, I am so sorry to hear about your struggles. I am disgusted by the attitude of your boss. How insensitive can one get? Grrrr.... I sure hope a lawyer can get you the help you need.    I don't know much about lymphoceles other than they can occur after abdominal surgery and a drain is place to "treat" it. Is it something you need to keep in indefinitely?     What kind of kibble do your dogs eat? Please PM me with your address and that info. At least that will be one thing you don't have to worry about right now.    You continue to be in my prayers. Sending lots of hugs. >3

How insensitive can one person be? Your attorney will take care of him.

We'll help you with your dogs, Jackie, Don't worry about that. Concentrate on getting through the next round of chemo.

Starrchar, I looked all over the forum for what brand of kibble they eat before I asked Jackie. My first choice was to just send it without asking. You know what she'll say if we ask. I've seen references to Orijen and a couple others, but they weren't recent posts. I'd hate to send them something they're not used to or don't do well on; that wouldn't be much help if Jackie had to clean up messes. Tongue Smile

If anyone knows Jackie's home address, please send it to me. I swear I'm not an ax murderer.
