We made a mistake which we will correct

How are you correcting this Hans? Does the above mean you found your checkbook and your conscience? That is really what it takes, talk all you want about rocks and houses.

Look,  I will make it simple for you here.

Hips

-----This thread is about what to do about the hips of a  dog. The HD is  not a problem which we could have  predict. Thus the hips are covered by our replacement warranty.

Overbite.

---Jiri  missed the overbite. How? I do not know. Maybe pups  got mixed up in the box at the vet.

---- Pup arrived at the airport in the same crate with mine. I looked at the tattoo in the ear, since the registration process was started and I did not want to mix the pups up. It was dark. 10:30 pm. I did not notice bad bite,  since I did not look in the pups mouth. Chrissy  noticed it only many DAYS later herself, since  it is not that obvious. You need to lift the lips of the pup up.

----  When we were informed about the bad bite by Chrissy we offered her replacement as out warranty dictates.  There would not be any additional cost to her. She lives not too far from me and I do have pups of the same quality here all the time.  First she briefly accepted and wanted a pup.   Thus I offered her any other pup of her choice for no charge at any time in the future .  But then she refused. She said that she is attached to the critter. I get it and I told her she can keep the original  pup.  She still refused because she said that she can keep only one dog. I told her that this is standing offer.

-----  Jiri and I know that sometimes the pups have bad bite and later on it straighten it self and bite is good. I asked Chrissy to let us know at 8 mo if the pup will still have bad bite we would like to know .

-------Later on Chrissy requested $447 forpuppy  tooth extraction which she had her vet to do without discussing such cost  with me. The amount seemed excessive for extrication of a puppy tooth.  I contacted my vet and got quote of $89. That is why I offered that amount.  She refused. Just let me point out that we do NOT pay vet bills, as per our warranty, this was an exception.

------ Jiri absolutely did not want to give her money back  and wanted to stick to the warranty. Our warranty is replacement= giving her another - additional pup while she could keep her original pup or return it. Her choice.

-------I personally was arguing to Jiri to  give her the money back because she had  problem which predated from time before the shipping, which we should have caught.  Eventually he  agreed to give money back if the teeth did not straighten up at 8 mo. That was the final agreement between me and Jiri.
We were/are going to give her money back if at 8 mo the teeth will  not be straighten up.
The time is about 8 mo now.

------I have requested to meet with her since that is what Jinopo asked me to do. I am willing to drive to her house. I'll look in the pup's mouth. If the dog will have  bad bite, I will give her the money back on the spot including shipping  .  I have told you to let me deal with it and that is what I was doing while you called me names.
You will say that I am caving to your pressure from you. Well, that is your opinion which I really do not care much about. Many here just assume way too much.

Sounds fair enough. Happy to hear you are going to visit and make it right, Hans.

Hans
Great news, have you set a date with Chrissy for the meeting?

We are all just wanting to see this girl and her pup get the help they need and deserve.

I work at a vet hospital, I see on a daily basis the costs for dentals and hip surgeries. A dentistry typically costs $500 to start, because the dogs absolutely MUST be put under anesthesia for the procedure to be preformed - that is where the costs originate from, regardless of how many teeth need to be pulled. That is reality, I have no idea where you come up with $89... just doesn't make sense.

Better late than never, and matters not so much the reason as it will help Chrissy  and Kaiser which is the most important thing.

Glad to hear it.

"Volume discount" means you bring a lot of dogs in so the vets work cheaper. Lots of breeders have a relationship like this.

I will say that for puppy teeth, I believe $89 is what Hans was quoted by a vet he has good rapport with with. For the adult procedure (the filing) no, that wouldn't cover it in my experience.

Volumed discount.? No.  I have good rapport with my vet. He have treated hundreds of my dogs in last 22 years.  He gives me good price.
