As for the overbite issue (which is where this thread has gone), the breeder clearly knew about it. Even if he had many litters on the ground at a time, he's very experienced, a warden, and was looking for keepbacks for him and his partner from this litter, so no excuse. The broker/partner may have been told by him and then decided to purposely NOT look at the bite in front of the buyer so he can wipe his hands of it and claim he didn't know, he may not have been told anything except that it's only pet quality as this is just one of many transactions they do a year, or he could have been led to believe the dog was perfectly fine but his one is better in which case his partner screwed him. If they can be very shady with buyers, wouldn't you think that's their personalities and somehow also leaks into their relationship? If Hans came on here and rectified the situation (sounds like only full refund is acceptable at this point), I'd like to give him the benefit of the doubt in this particular case. Obviously he couldn't have foreseen the hips having issues, and that's what the original topic was all about... fixing that, and he's sitting on his thumbs too long. He can do the admirable thing, even if it's cleaning up after his partner, as the dog DOES represent HIS business in some way or another. If he knew the bite was so severe (not just one they are likely to grow out of) and passed it off to her, and purposely ignored her calls to wait until she bonded with it, and has his contract in place as it is so he doesn't have to refund any money... then I hope this thread is the beginning of his end. Although he may be one of the most knowledgable "Czech" guys we have at the moment, when it fails to be about the dogs it's time to get out of the business. Good luck Chrissy - all the positive reviews on the surgery give me great hopes for you and your boy. BTW, I looked at his photos and he is gorgeous.

**Hooray for pictures! Wonder which one of those males will end up with me?**

A single lie destroys a whole reputation for integrity Hans!

The proof is in the pudding.
He still did not return her phone calls early on, and it yet remains to be seen if he will do the right thing.
It also still remains to be seen who is lying. I hope Chrissy goes to the seminar and speaks to Jiri about this.
Edit to add: If not dishonesty than incompetence. Which isn't much better when you pay big dollars for a dog because you want to avoid crap like this!
