Hans,
Warranty? It's not modifying , it's standing by your product. If it was just the hips maybe but The hips are horrible AND an overbite, what else is coming down the pike? Bad bad business.

I've been in business for awhile and I would be send her cash back right away, shame. I'd never do business with you or Jinopo-me kennels.

To the OP, you got screwed and learned a valuable lesson, I feel for you and the pup. I would post this situation on every single site you can find, that's all you can do.

Per request, this was his overbite when I first got him.

You can clearly see in the second photo where the lower canine is actually going up into his upper gums. The vet wasn't able to keep him still enough for a clear photo unfortunately, but both lower canines were causing trauma, hence why I had them removed. His overbite did not improve and his adult lower canines were also causing severe trauma to his mouth so I opted to get him the pulpectomy and odontoplasty. The dental specialist showed me pictures of the damage they were causing. In hindsight I wish I had asked him to email them to me. I will call him tomorrow and see if he still has the photos.

I have been following this thread from the beginning. This is truely a sad and heartbreaking situation for both dog and owner. I am just blow away with the dedication and true love that Chrissy is giving towards Kaiser. A true class act in my book, KOODOS to you! She is putting the wellbeing of Kaiser first and formost.   As for Kaiser being shipped in the first place, that is a different story. He should have NEVER been put in the crate and on the plane. But knowing what I do now about Chrissy, I am glad he was. Who knows what kind of home he would have if she hadnt got him! (Although I do know Chrissy was looking for a HEALTHY WORKING DOG). I do find it very hard to believe that this overbite was not noticed by Jinopo before Kaiser was shipped. For as long as they have been in business this is something that is just not overlooked when picking a working/breeding pup for someone. I just find it ODD that Jinopo told Hans to take the "other" pup....hmmmmmmm. Should have the pup been inspected when it arrived?! YES!! To give Hans the benefit of the doubt, maybe he just trusted that Jinopo would have sent a genetically healthy pup. So he dropped the ball, so to speak, and did not check the pup out trusting that his partner who has been in the business for a LONG time would not try to pull a fast one. Just speculating at this point!   As for the hips, that is something that neither Hans nor Jinopo could have known when the pup was picked and also shipped. As several have mentioned on here, pups are a crapshot so to speak. I am sure Chrissy knew this before she got the pup too.   Hans is the one that Chrissy has the contract with not Jinopo. Correct? Hans's contract says REPLACEMENT ONLY. So by the "letter of the law" that is all the Hans owes Chrissy. But by the "spirit of the law" I feel she is owed a refund of both purchase price and shipping. At the very least.  In good faith Chrissy should have had a refund a long time ago, and this would have never blown up like it has. I am sure, for business sake, that if Hans were to refund Chrissy the money that is owed to her Jinopo will refund Hans their part that is owed. So instead of Chrissy getting her prompt refund, she is now the one that is stuck in the middle of a breeder/broker feud.   Chrissy, I also will donate to Kaisers fund. So when and if you do the surgery please let me know. I will help offset the cost some. Chrissy, you are truely an amazing person. I wish there were more like you. From the beginning all that matters to you in Kaisers well being. That is what has impressed me the most about you!

Chrissy,
Wow, that is severe!  I'm sorry but that is hard to miss.  That poor dog!

I just finished reading throughout the 17 pages. Very sad story. When the acct is set up pls pm me so I can donate as well. This has been however a very informative thread from health certificates to smuggling of living creatures. I must say that the management on mr prager's side has been very poor, I'm a business person, I would have fixed this long time ago, I would have never let It go public for that matter. You need to realize that time is of the essence, with every minute you loose credibility, hence potential business. Im just trying to show a different perspective. It's not too late, give her the money back plus shipping, pay for the dental treatment, send her a replacement pup on top of that ( a good one this time) when she's ready. You'll gain more later than what you'll loose now. Be a pioneer, be the first one to do something like that (and make sure to make it public) you'll be rewarded later ( granted you surround yoursel better and choose a better stock) just my 2cts.

Well now that you posted those pictures I do find it impossible to miss that overbite, no matter how dark it was. If there was enough light to see a tattoo... there was enough light to see that overbite. WOW THAT IS ONE OF THE WORST I HAVE SEEN!!!

Jyl,
Excellent posts.  Have these photos been sent to hans?

Hans and Jiri are full partners according to Hans so the contract and responsibility is on both parties.  Where has hans been all day?  Is he just going to avaid this issue and hope it goes away?  just like he avoided Chrissy?  This not going away, until he does something to resolve it.

These photos were certainly sent to Hans. In response I was told he "may grow out of it", which I doubted because it was so severe.
