Joanro's female shows a better rear extension of hock, maybe timing of shot
by joanro on 07 February 2016 - 22:02
Thank you, dawolf. Your female is stunning. Ibrahim, this pic has the hocks overlapped, right hock above the left(near side), so take that into consideration:-)

Oh, thank GOD, and I was at the point of throwing away all I learned about structure
She is alright in structure, nothing contradicts basics of structure and locomotion. Her angulations are moderate.
As per (the standard), not modern GSD, she needs a little more angulation infront and rear, Excellent withers, and that is extremely important for effortless trot. strong pasterns, on the lighter side, athletic, good croup, maybe a little stretched. I love her underline, gives her athletic expression, but truly speaking her abdomen tuck up, I am not sure it is a virtue, some experts say it is , some not.
Thank God, lol
I have no explanation why GSDs who have less forechest development combined with less front angulation show proper elbow open like yours, Xeph's and Dingo !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Joanro, This is a moderately structured young female, a show one, she has little more angles than yours, but yours looks more athletic, drier with better desirable well defined high long withers, mine has a flat one

Very nice female you have, Ibrahim. As per tuck up; the more 'dry' and tight the ligaments, the more athletic the dog will be and tuck up is indicative of tightness and 'dry' dog. Here are some pics to show you more 'tuckup'.

The first and second above are of littermate to bucket girl (they are ten months old) She is the one with 'too little' rear angulation. The third is of a 2 1/2 year old. Here is the 'too little' annulation girl.:-)

Do you think a wet dog has more fat under skin, loose skin or just a thicker skin?
by Ibrahim on 07 February 2016 - 23:02
, so your car is a Honda? my previous one was a Honda CRV
by joanro on 07 February 2016 - 23:02
Wet dog has more skin and more space for fat.
Not my car.:-) I have a Ford 3/4 ton van:-)

My dogs keep getting mentioned, so I figured I'd throw some movement shots of a couple gaiting naturally off lead for people to view in an attempt to add to the discussion
