so they are not crates to house dogs??
by joanro on 11 April 2015 - 23:04
I have a room out side with crates in it that are literally twenty three years old. I have more crates than dogs, in fact I have crates that i used for my fox terriers when I was on the road that are 28 years old, haven't had a dog in them since 2005. Just because crates are available in a building for use in an emergency, doesn't mean the dogs live in them. There aren't many dogs that live a better life than this lady's dogs. You were sticking up for a person who was asking for contact information for a byb, but you want to assume the worst of the dogs in this family. At least these dogs don't have to wear a muzzle while giving their owner a hug.

that's your place?
actually wasn't assuming anything, the question was quite literal.
a simple clarification from the OP is all that is required here.
as for other thread i was trying to bring some calm & clarification so the newb could get more appropariate mental maps.
attacking newbs does not tend to faciltate their growth. the mod tended to agree.

Pretending that seeking out a byb for seconds is wonderful....just so long as the newb gets to direct the responses and get to hear life's a twinky, then who cares that Craig's list breeders are being supported...like I said, who cares, y'all can hold her hand and help her find the breeder of her dog so's she can go back for seconds. Then all of you will be happy. And you're concerned about a storage room? Sorry about the derail, vt.

Sure those are dog crates, I own about 20 crates and 7 dogs. No dogs are ever kept on the top and yes dogs are kept in the bottom crates from time to time. I'm assuming your dogs are kept with you 24/7 or all loose in your house when your're not home? I have crates I keep for puppy training then they're put aside for use later. Of course sanitized before and after each use.
Not that I feel like I must answer to you but here's where and how my dogs live the majority of the time when they're not out and about doing other things with me.

Koots Kimber is very self assured and posses extreme loyalty for her people only. She will be very serious when mature. From about 16 weeks of age she no longer acknowledged humans existed. In public she's confident and forward. She ignores humans completely when at tractor supply and town. She has no problems when people want to pet her but she offers no wag of the tail just a deep stare into their eyes
Definitely not a dog for everyone. Super personality, extremely affectionate for a female, highly motivated by praise, food or toy, very independent and loves using her nose! Also a great problem solver.

Here are our poor dogs;) The senior dogs do not run with the young dogs since they're frail. They have free run of the house and backyard, always. One senior passed this winter at 15 (Roxy), the other 13 (JD) and 9 (Xena our Rescue) years of age.
