I also wanted to mention that we had 2 current AKC judges, a retired AKC judge, and an AKC sweepstakes judge at ringside. When Margit talked about the individual dogs, they were invited into the ring so she could explain to them why she placed the dogs as she did.

Link to the photos. Most dogs are named other than the working dogs. If anyone wants to know the name of a particular dog, I'll look it up for you. We are still working on getting the results on the GSDCA website.

I'm glad you folks had a good show. I knew you would appreciate Frau van Dorsen. She knows what she is doing and what our breed is all about. I wish more AKC Judges would attend our SV Shows. If they did, I really believe we would, after several years, actually see a change in the structure of the American Show Line Dogs to make them more closely approximate the dog the rest of the world breeds.

I attend both SV and AKC shows whenever I can. IMHO both the GSL and the ASL need some major improvements in conformation and movement. Maybe if more were interested in actually watching both with an open mind we would see better dogs in the future? Neither is all good or all bad IMO.
We had some very good dogs entered. I felt Margit gave each handler an equal chance to present their dogs in the best manner possible. Only one dog failed the breed survey. All passed the AD.
