We had an episode of false labour yesterday afternoon, in which she was licking herself, lifting her tail, and panting. She also tried to block Kellie from leaving the room, and was being REALLY clingy.
So, getting close, really close... 
Can't do her temp as the thermometer battery died!

If she goes too much longer than 65 =66 days , I would carry her to vet fora check...Cola did that and at 1:00 am, in morning the vet said too many hours in labor so at 2:00 am we were slinging pups across the room to start and clean..his nurse did not come so Jerri and I played nurse...HE had enough faith in us..one DEAD pup kept Cola from getting the canal open and going..
I know Sunsilver will make sure...

puppies? I so live through the breeders with puppies. New Fawnda Rule: All breeders must include me (at least in showing me photos). lol

The first puppy has arrived, a large male:
Of course, it's the wee hours of the morning here, as it almost always is when bitches decide to give birth. I won't get any more updates until a more sane hour, as the pups are being birthed in a basement bedroom, and there is no cell phone signal down there. So, might as well toddle off to bed, and pray that everything goes well...
We're off to a good start, anyway!

We now have FOUR males, 2 sable, 2 black and red. The second male was 19 oz, so a real porker! No wonder it took about 3 hours for her to push him out!
Hoping there might be a female or two still in there!

Kellie was up all night with the pups, so she is sleeping right now. Will update you when I hear something. She is an avid photographer so I am hoping for more pics once she's recovered enough to shoot some....
Not sure I'll be able to get to see them until after 5. Fridays are busy days for the kennel, especially with this being a long weekend!

Yeah breathing smooth and better now..I get uptight on whelping.. CONGRATS.

So, the final count is only 4 puppies, all male, 2 black and red like papa, and 2 sables, like mama. Rather disappointing: Mom's last litter was 14!!
