Breeders aiming for creators standard - Page 3

Another thread?  Really it's simple.  Own and train and live with whatever type of dog you want or have in front of you.  It really doesn't matter.  Love it, train it, keep it engaged with you and have one happy life together.  If you're breeding dogs, they better have as much stuff in the tank as you can find.  Don't cut corners, don't say, well i'm breeding therapy dogs, so they don't need "X" trait from the standard, because that is bullshit.

When you breed dogs full of everything you get puppies with a mix of those traits capable of anything.  knowing your puppies and careful selection gets them in the correct homes.  When you breed dogs with things missing and make excuses, sooner or later you end up with litters of puppies that can't do shit, but sit and look pretty.

It really is that simple

If it cannot reach the TOTO stage it ,the gsd , cannot be suitable for breeding program in my world. I made it pretty clear in the last sentence Leinhard made .....stated same thing Hired dog and Zdog but a little differently...reread

I just am not gonna spend hours trying to reach minds that have not gotten to the place that they know what TOTO really means because it is a trainers term that many of us have used and I pointed all to the man who used it and hope 4gsd will google the men I mentioned

You can put the word Standard back in the dictionary, is what I was trying to get over nicely ..without saying it.. Standard parts are ones used on every piece of the equipment all made alike to use the same part no matter what brand or for what use.

I do not like standard anything. I like the full package with the shiny parts that glow in the dark and make a firm statement.

I am thru with posting and am gonna go water my beautiful roses that are not STANDARD.   they are KNOCK OUT roses.!!!!

Thanks to all the replies.  I'm slowly starting to figure everything out.  I've owned several GSD over the years, but didn't get involved with pedigrees, bloodlines, titles, working line until the past year.  My current 9 month old male GSD is SL/WL.   So far, he has been great, but I've had it planned for months to purchase a WL female once I get my males obedience solid.  I'm wanting Czech bloodlines and I've been in contact with Zbynek from Aritar Bastet.  I'm leaning towards his kennel when the time comes.
