Chaz,
I think you should put the peanut butter away.

I have a peanut allergy. Don't even have Reese's pieces in my house. I tried to redirect to a toy, but he doesn't like my pocket p****.

No, I used your advise and just peed on the remote. I'm sick of him picking the channel.

That is "territorial aggression" or your dog guarding or defending his territory.  Many dogs of any breed will guard the yard (especially behind a fence), the car or even a crate quite aggressively, open the door and let them out and they are fine and friendly.  Reach into the car or the crate and they'll bite.

Jim, That definitely describes Prince except the friendly would be better described as indifferent with strangers at least///,,Interesting thread,,

We have been letting Prince out while guest are visiting,,Prince has been such a good boy!,,Enjoying my daughter's boyfriends as well :) ,We had a poker game the other night and had a house full of adults. They were all comfortable with Prince being loose while muzzled so we took advantage of the opportunity,,,Everything was super great until our good friend approached Prince and started petting his head and talking nicely..lol,,Prince hates when people look at him and say nice things,,Prince hit him in the chest with his muzzle and knocked him backward..He is 6'2 and a big guy.It was a very shocking//,.After the fact he said to me, " I thought you taught him who was boss"....Prince didn't like his attitude I guess..
.
It is hard to tell what provoked it for sure, but Prince was perfectly content going from person to person and saying hello//But as soon as this friend started stroking his head and talking to him Prince reacted,,,Anti -social or fear?,,Not sure...

Why was Prince muzzled and forced to deal with people petting him? Muzzle is a fine precaution, but I think it's unfair and unwise to leave him LOOSE and muzzled. Be there with him, have him on lead, communicate what you want to him. I disagree with turning him loose, leaving him to his own "defenses" muzzled, in a crowd. Something tells me you're misreading..."perfectly content" doesn't muzzle-punch someone.

Oh, and I'd tell that guy "it's not you," regarding the "boss" comment, as I told a jerk who tried to alpha roll my puppy and said the same stupid comment.

But you're sweet, and I'm not. Tongue Smile Teeth Smile
