He is not going to be bred. He is a K-9. I had worse looking hips go OFA good.

Wow you're lucky then. OFA has been pretty strict in grading my hips over the past 2 yrs. A good friend just had 2 litter sisters xrayed and sent in to OFA, The 3 vets in the office, myself and the friend all thought both would go Good, and both came back mild HD. Both sets of xrays looked better than these.

Cmills, I have seen perfect hips go OFA fair and hips that looked bad go OFA good. You just never know.

I completely agree Bhall, with OFA its really a crapshoot. I told my friend to wait 6 months and resubmit them, cause they really did look good to 3 vets.

Had I got in earlier I would have said Fair. I don't know much about the SV gradings--I mean I know what they mean but I'm not experinced with how they do their grading and all that.

I do OFA but I agree with CMills that you just never know who pissed in whose post toasties that day. I know that sounds crazy but really I think if they are having a bad day you might not get as good a rating. I too have seen hips rated mild that should have passed and excellents that should have been fairs.

So what would a B 1/2 rating be equal to? I've seen that a few times.
