First, Id like to welcome you to the board. We each have our own take on a subject when someone posts. Many of us have been in dogs a long time and take individual words to heart ie "trainer". Remember your talking to people who, once again, have been working dogs for years. It's a humbling experience to be here. Bashing people when your new,  makes people tune you out and not want to help you. Slamdunc who posted, is an EXCELLENT reference and all he could muster up to say was well.......not much.

One can temperment test as young as a few weeks. Chasing/lunging things does not necessarily mean your gal is high prey. It could just mean poor manners. I would ask how driven she is chasing the ball? Will she carry the ball around in her mouth ALL THE TIME. Always has to have it with her? If not a ball,  a tug? Does she like the flirt pole? A ball with a rope on the end? What is her play time like? What is your play time like.

And just so you know, many of us have done rescue and know the path many pups will end up at once they loose their cuteness. We are passionate about newbies who come here and want to "breed" It raises the hair for many of us and think "OMG another byb" I'm getting a new puppy in Jan. I will train him like mad, title him, genetically test him, and if God graces me with a healthy sound dog, I might breed him. If not he will live his life as a working dog and friend and never reproduce because that is the responsible thing to do.
