Cheers for your input, the reason i'm looking for a clean alternative to duvet's is because he does chew his bedding not every night & not sure if he actually eats any but some duvet's seem to be stuffed with the same material as you get on tennis balls & i was always told never give your dog a tennis ball because it's bad for their stomach lining, i'm glad a lot of you use old Duvet's & blankets, i thought i was just being a bit of a scrooge using my old duvet's & blankets

another thought for when you have to kennel them outside in a kennel. I bought 2 rubber stall mats for horses at Tractor Supply, 1" thick, and 2 x 3ft. laid down together to make a 4 x 6" area for them to lay on.  I put them in the kennel runs and the dogs love lying on them, no more callused elbows.
