$100.00 =$200.00 for an abandoned mixed breed pup????
I cannot believe this
SO tell me how I am suppose to look at three pups abandoned in a park on the 4th of JUly with 1000 cars and trucks all over and the pups in danger of being killed?
People live at end of park were shooing them..THE park is patroled by TYLER PD .
THEY saw the pups for over a week we were told..
MY son put pups in his truck and brought home , wormed, made a huge pen for them gave them a parvo shot and brushed and cleaned them.
Immediately I put a couple of pictures on Craigslist.. WHERE ELSE was I suppose to advertise them ? :THERE are no free papers here.
Pedigree database by the way is free but we have no MIXED BREED forum and I live in TYLER not Texas..
I want pups to be locally taken not somewhere else. I have too many years experience to let any pup go to somewhere I do not check the people out...I ask for ID , I talk to them long before I agree to meet them..
YOU bet this is my last time to even do it. IF this is attitude time I get it.. I am sick of peoples ONE WAY MINDS>>
I am very offended .. THIS shows how little people think before they make statements.. I am not a rescue organinzation. I am human and I would not let two pups stay lost in a park hiding in a drain pipe. THE lady who was coming to feed them put an ad up but she is a nurse and works and has not time nor the ways to keep pups. I have 10,000.00 worth of investment in kennels and am not just any ole person who took home two dogs.
TO make statements like I saw made are very unkind. AND yes I take it personally. WHEN you keep repeating people who do this ad placing free pups are not the kind of people who need to even own a dog..you crossed the line.
Thanks but no thanks...I am finished with this one...THE Pups are still here as very few people want MIXED no name brands...
I should have just let the TYLER PD call the dog catcher and let them be euthanized
I still have two pups to find a home for and you can bet your Intelligence I will find them a good home..
AND I Will still advertise them on craigslist.
I have never advertised anything but THree wheelers, and equipment , and a Fish Tank. I have enough intelligence as a former Business owner and venue I was in for years to judge who to talk to , who not to meet and where and when to answer anyone on a reply.
IT would be nice if others had such COMMON SENSE before you castigate several into a group of ALL
FYI there are also women buying pups all over the USA on many advertising agency ads, papers , and such same websites LIKE CRAIGSLIST to sell to HUGHES COM stores for profit.. THERE are also scammers all over USA buying pups and dogs and selling them and using them for FIGHTING bait in venues in many states. THEY travel all the way to Texas if they find enough for one good trip.
DO ANY OF YOU THINK SOME OF US HAVE BRAINS to know what and who to do business with..THERE are warning on all of Craigslist about these people and to be very careful when you enlist your items or animals for the public sale.?
HOW many breeders on our FREE base of advertising give pups away , on here , sell a pup registered on HERE, and find out....OOOPS> DOG in bad home bad place and in trouble..??
Craigslist is a means for getting a product out in the eye of the public. IT IS Called MARKETING>.same way you do it when you have a garage sale and people trespass all over your property./
HOW safe is that??

In the end, when people arrive, I will not charge anything.
When you rescue an animal you must be prepared to keep it forever if necessary though. Rescue should not be desperate dash to find them home. If you are patient you will always eventually find a loving soul who will take them. Do not worry. :)

THE Lady who was feeding them came to my home, brought me dog food, and gave me $60.00 cash and made me take the money to help. SHE was so happy I had them..
SHE sat here for hours playing with them and she saw my place, and ask me why do you not start a rescue...NUMBER one is it nerve racking business...number TWO I was 69 yrs old yesterday and have a grown son fighting for his life with the state to fix his injury and we have another STALL...NO MONEY IN TEXAS for injured workers ...they are now fighting over who is gonna pay for the surgery allready approved......ONLY so much my body and brain can do.
YEs I am very much a DO ALL THINGS AND SOLVE ALL PROBLEMS in the world lady but I am now retired and I want to do something for JAN now..
THANKS Prager:
I know what I do is correct but the tone of some hit me wrong.. I was in a bad mood when I opened the thread, my birthday was yesterday and I celebrated ALONE>>>the ones that I could count on were NO WHERE to be found ...not there fault...on vacation and my friends down home sent messages and phone calls....but
all I can say is.....TRY WALKING IN MY SHOES A WHILE>..alone is not a nice present>..I HAVE been single for 22 yrs and have lots of things I do...but to be your birthday and look at drs offices and a grocery store and go shopping and come home to same ole place and nothing but ME here was not a happy birthday scene...Daughter called and they are now home today and we will celebrate Saturday but that is saturday..not today...
I am just tired of solving things...so I got to VOICE MY OPINION>..I Do not back down on what I believe either....
BY this time all know that.
Got to go to a concert now so I am thru
THanks to those who pmed and emailed me....IT is nice to receive KUDOS>>

We ALL have situations arise that are out of our control, IT HAPPENS. We don't all have the luxery of calling friends/family/neighbors up and asking them to take a dog/cat, whatever. Not everyone who places ads on Craigslist are bad, neither are the people who do rescue the dogs.
I, myself have gotten a free dog or two from Craigslist, and frankly, YellowRose did more with those puppies than most people do. She gave them a head start, to make it easier for their new owners. I can't tell you how many times I went to view a dog that had never had nails trimmed, coat brushed, bathed, shots, wormings, etc...
Seriously, are we so short minded that we can't see that Craigslist is only a TOOL, and only as evil as the people with bad intentions.
It's like saying that because your child dies in a car accident because of ONE bad truck driver, that ALL truck drivers are bad. That is a nasty blanket statement that has no place in society.
YellowRose, at the end of the day, you do NOT have to explain yourself to ANYONE, your heart will know what's right or wrong and by the sound of it, you have a heart as big as TEXAS.
