Thanks Blitzen for your comments..  I am hopeful that dwarf shepherd owners can get the help they need here.   It is a lonely journey otherwise.  Few vets know about this - really know.   So we are on our own in many ways.   

I will post Tebow's supplement and diet protocol tomorrow to try to help with what I have gathered from the reliable sources I have found.   Tig has been tremendously supportive.   I am grateful

I gave Kathy, several bottles of Thyroid meds, she should be good for a good year!!! OR MORE!!!! But they will help out, thanks, they are very inexpensive, and I can get them AT COST....Steph

There is a photo and pedigree of the dwarf I had here on the Ped. Database. He was a week short of 14 years when we had him put to sleep. His name is Hazelgrove Boss

now do  both dogs have to carrier the dwarf gene to produce dwarf pups?

also is there test to test  if my dog is a carrier for this?

i ask as nemo is very cute and comes from Lasso and my boy is a Lasso great grand son, so i am a bit concern as i would not want to produce dwarf pups.

any information would be great, as i am a very respondable breeder , i want to improve this breed not make it worst.

Unfortunately, I am a GSD lover who knows nothing about this little Tebow fellow.  I have no history on him, but I have learned that yes, both parents have to carry the gene and the only testing available to my knowledge is in Sweden or somewhere pretty far from me...lol.    If you look on the thread "Tebow" - that is my dwarf and they got into a lot of that detail on that site.   I will look too to be sure it is on there but one of the posters there works at the Institute that cares for all the dwarfs in that country.      I wish I had pedigree history on Tebow, but Mr. Nemo is guiding us (well Beth is) and helping us get started on this adventure... learning to love it, not be afraid of it.  Thanks for the post.

Just posted pics on "TEBOW" showing hair loss/growth in case you are interested.   I am thinking that "TEBOW" and "DWARF GSD" should be combined ... more information on Tebow's thread, but Dwarf GSD is easier to find for those looking for that topic... Just a thought.lol...
