I say neither are going to be coated.
They would have long hairs between their toes at a few weeks of age, tufts of hair on the inside of their ears, and wavy hair on the outside of their ears.
Here's a photo of one of my long coat pups at 5 weeks

Long coats would at least have wavy hair between the ears and fuzzy hair on the side of the ears.
Also long coats sometimes get shorter but never the other way around.

Interesting observation Jenni78,
but hey, are we not already born with a butt load of knowledge and should know everything
immediately without any undue hesitation?
The only reason I can't say for sure if one is a long coat, is that, I don't want to give a BS answer, so as not to have NO FEAR of being wrong, I will be patient and disclose to the puppy buyer that I can not guarantee that the pup in question will turn out to be a long coat.
I did just that, and they still love the puppy.
BTW>The pups are both girls! I keep calling them him, he, and guys, cause they are more
on the masculine side than the feminine.

Very pretty puppies. In my last litter, half the pups were coats and have thick undercoats like their dad. (Sire is pictured in the right hand corner of this e-mail). Mom is a plush coat and had produced long coats bred to a male related to my guy. So I was hoping for the same - which I did receive. Almost from birth, I could tell which pups were coats. I would venture to say your pups are plush coat - not long coats but not short tight coats either. Hope this info helps.
