Thanks! Ya gotta love pit bulls :)
She bites REALLY hard, too. I love to hear the helper say OOOOF!

A bitch stripe is normal, she is not blue or sable  she is a normal blk/tan with a heavy bitch stripe , to counter the heavy strip I would only breed to a sire with set dark color blk/red saddle or Blk,and still the females may have a heavy stripe. Dont listen to people who dont breed or know gsd.Its like talking to a owner of a yorkie when you have a rottie she is fine a nice dog enjoy

Princess

Perhaps you could tell us your qualifications...
I can assure you that this pup IS BLUE
Before being disrespectful and giving false information in future try reading up on the subject FIRST ...
some people tut tut tut...

by Trotters123 on 16 October 2009 - 11:10

I totally agree Csense

Princess......come on really!     You are rude and show your ignorance by lashing out which is wholly unacceptable.

This thread has stayed polite and curtious throughout, which is the way it should be as everyone is entitled to their own opinion....free country and all that. But  to say people on this thread do not know what they are talking about especially when you have not given any basis for this comment is tantamount to insulting.

The bitch is most definately blue and tan, she has the right colour of eye too! The picture of her as a pup speaks volumes.
No one is being nasty about the fact she is blue, the question was raised by the owner 'what colour is she' so people are no giving sound advise.
I for one, do know about this colour as I have a dog who is a solid powder blue, I also have a bitch who is a midnight blue and tan (when she is on her own she looks black but when she stands next to my solid black dog and the other 'normal' coloured ones she looks charcoal grey)  I have also had blue and tans out of my German showline bitch too.
So there is MY qualifications on this particular colour, what is yours PRINCESS?  How many blues have you owned or bred?

She is a new member, and rude is your commits, the dog is a washed out blk/tan ,yes eyes in show ring would be a issue her nose is blk but a newbie doesnt need a hard core evaluation, as well as you qualifcation on having blues or livers showlines . Be nice an watch to who you speak, most breeders dispay titles and kennels not breeding blues.

by petowner on 17 October 2009 - 17:10

THE BITCH IS BLUE !.   Blues do have black noses and they are commonly seen now.

by VomMarischal on 17 October 2009 - 18:10

That puppy is blue. You have to be an ignatz to miss it--not counting the OP, who is still gaining experience.
As Princess should be.

by Trotters123 on 17 October 2009 - 18:10

Princess you obviously need a lesson is reading also.

I NEVER said I breed blues. I said that one of my German showline bitches has had blue pups in a litter!!! Big difference. These pups were sold without registration and contracted NOT to be bred from.

Again lesson to be learnt that a Germanic line dog can carry the blue gene! Jeck, Uran and TImo did!!! You gonna have something to say about them now too!

There always has to be one person who starts something.

This thread was very pleasant up until Princess joined.

AND ONCE AGAIN ......................... THE BITCH IS BLUE & TAN

by bazza on 17 October 2009 - 18:10

Most definately blue and tan, so obvious.

by Csense on 17 October 2009 - 19:10

Princess your assumptions re trotters123 breeding blues and your rude attitude say it all...

You obviously would argue that black is white and I have better things to do with my time.
I find it offensive that you accuse us of being "hardcore" when stating facts.

blues are out of standard and should not be bred from,
if one pops up it should be sold into a nice pet home without papers and a spay neuter contract.

The next time you post try and find some manners
and if you don't know what your talking about
KEEP QUIET!!!
LISTEN
AND LEARN.
