  Hey there Michelle,

Long time no talk..To me the DDR Shepherds are medium bone ,blocky head ,calmness and clear headed with the greatest pigmentation.
Alot of people say that DDR decendents take to long to mature and are not great working dogs, but i disagree and impo i think that is a bunch of crap.I really dont know why people dislike these lines but they work great for me as i own two DDR decendents.
My male i imported and is now 17 months and is doing a awesome job in Schuthund and i just got a pup and she also will be trained as such.

Some people just have to be haters Mike, they just can't help themselves. Kinda like the people that own motorcycles trying to tell other people what bike type of bike they need to buy with their own money. Just doesn't make any sense to me. And it's always easier to be a jerk on an internet site talking crap about someone elses dog when they haven't even seen the dog or the work that it can do. Kinda funny in a strange way isn't it????

Hi Daryl,

Yes, I am a good sport.  My picture was taken in my back yard at dusk.  I lightened it up so that you could see the dogs.  I like to lighten it up also so that you can see more detail on the dogs.  That is always the problem with photographing black dogs.  It is hard to see the detail.

What do you think of my puppy?  She is a little spitfire bi-color that I bought from Kim at JustK9's.  Pharaoh will be 4 in September and he has matured into a 95% perfect dog.   As you predicted, getting through his childhood was a lot of work, but well worth it.  He just loves the puppy, Mariah.

Michelle I really like that little girl,  She is very nice. And kt I really like your pup also what a hunk. I have had several half and above DDR lined dogs. One was out of an original import after the wall came down. Anyway I like their rich colors, blocky heads, big bones, loyalty and in my opinion much more seriously protective. We've got a new pup[ coming up--she is half DDR lines and a Yello granddaughter. Sure do like her outgoingness, confidence, attitude and then of course she has a stocky body and blocky head. Here is a pic where her head looks too big for her body but it's my poor pic taking. Her name is Diva.

Who posted they dis-like DDR....?  I hope you did not take my reply that way.

Many of my dogs have some DDR liniage in their background, but I look at a hell of lot more then what their paperwork says....  IMO pedigrees tell you what your dog came from but does not tell you what your dog is today.

I will make it very clear that I DO dis-like people who splash those three little letters all over like its some kind of special accomplishment... and/or add the word "rare" - yup- so are long coat blues and livers (and four leaf clovers and unicorns too)

Phararoh - love the look of the big guy in your avatar pic

OP - sorry I will not make a breeding recomendation, never met your pup or even seen a video of it doing something and I'll repeat myself here -

"I look at a hell of lot more then what their paperwork says...."

Thanks Dawgsome,

That is Pharaoh and he has matured into a splendid, muscular, adult  He will be 4 in September.

I think that his conformation and athleticism is much like his spectacular KKL1 father as well as his temperament.
