At that price hell yes.  After they tell me pthe price I visualize myself slapping them in the back of the head in front of a $230,000 dog. LOL

I think that for people to have this kind of money laying around to spend on a dog, they probably are smart since they had to make the money.  The point is, they don't care about price.  When you ae richor even wealthy (there is a difference between rich & wealthy) you don't care how much something costs.  I certainly agree that I don't think a dog is worth that much but then again I don't think a dog is worth $10,000.

I don't blame the seller as he is doing his job as a businessman...he is selling a product. As with any business school teaches you, find a market that you can maxamize your investment.  I wont blame him for people who don't do their research.

I think Apple gets over on people all the time with outdated iPhones and computers that cost way too much money but for some reason people still shell out a small fortune for them.  I don't even try to understand it anymore.

It is what it is....

Troubleinx

Sorry, but the Best we have right now is K9 Pirate Sly, and his price is to affordable.

I'm sure the 1/4 million dogs video is much better than Sly's.

Would someone please post a video of this dog.

What's sad is that I could run that dog in seconds. I have a dvd too. It is a joke. Buy washed up showline SchH dogs and spend a few months cross-training to bark in a car, etc. You'd be better off going to someone like pirates Lair and spending 5% of that price for a better dog.

Where's the line drawn between good business and taking advantage? Is there even a line?

Everyday products are manufactured, distributed and sold for a profit which includes the time and resources to purchase the product wholesale, store it, market it, deliver it. This is a natural business process.

Here we have references to circumstances that may/may not be correct. A person sold dogs to Seal Team 6. He's selling dogs to the wealthy now. Is there an implication to the dogs ability? He may have sold dogs to the government. I know Seal Team 6 doesn't buy dogs. It's handled through a procurement process. Will a SchH3 dog actually protect this man in the circumstances he expects to be protected in or is he endangering himself and his family by relying on the information that has been given to him? This man purchased piece of mind for the safety of himself and family by purchasing a dog that was attributed to being able to perform a service and provide companionship. Did this man get what he was told he was buying?

If a person uses their knowledge, talent, and resources to acquire a dog, ship a dog and market a dog. They are entitled to get some payback for their effort. If they use their expertise to misrepresnt a product are they being good businessmen or are they taking advantage of their customers by representing their product as the expert with their vast knowledge of their product to be relied upon in a way that may not be accurate of the sellers knowledge and the dogs ability?

The term "Unconscionable Transaction" comes to mind. JMO

Dog1, if it is in the Newspaper or on the PDB it has to be the truth don't you know.

 Chaz,

You probably would not have to do anything to run  the dog.  Does anyone else indulge in the "guilty plesure" known as 'Real Housewives of Beverly Hills"?   One mega-millionairess'es rich plastic surgeon husband gave her one of these trained dogs for her birthday. Even on air, it was clear that it was a pretty showline, POS that was nervy as hell.   They didn't keep it, because she was "too nervous" around the kids. (!!)   Remember the two high-proced "security" gsds that Brad Pitt had?  The ones who allowed some woman to "come on in" because she was armed with a box of Milkbones?

These are people with more money than sense.  These dogs are the cocaine of the 21st Century:  "God's way of tellin you that you have too much money." **

**From a comedy routine of Eddie Murphy's in the 80's about cocaine and the people using it.
