So basically no shutzund , no breeding and no competion. I just want a familly dog that will become another familly member and will protect us."
I'm reading into this that storm266 has her hands full and will not have much time for puppy imprinting or obedience training later.. Last Czech working line puppy I worked with had super drive and was an "alligator" (great pup for SchH) ....... this 3 year old daughter would have become a chew toy......
I understand the want for such beautiful conformation and color, but are these expectations realistic?
Is a dog from DDR or Czech working lines a good match for this particular living situation or will it end up in a shelter?

I will second that nomination of Rookie as an excellent example of a dog with a solid temperament.
In fact I am picking up my Rookie puppy tomorrow. I already have one super high prey drive maniac and I am not taking any chances. Kim knows what I want and I trust her.
There are puppies on the ground now, and Kim does temperament test them.

Good luck finding that new family member.

Molly, I feel your pain:
When I was a famous underwear model people would take my photo,s all the time i,d see them in sororities blowen up hanging on the wall in womens locker rooms and bathrooms in bowling alley,s. I was never given the credit I deserved for all the hard work I took posing for those photo,s while all those women looked at me like a cheap bit of candy. They had no idea how much work and effort I put into the hard body poses and butt crunch,s to look that way it aint easy being me...it finally took it,s toll on me and i stand before you the chubby humble ex underwear model I am today...
I need a hug!!!!

I've been a repeat customer because of the quality of their dogs & the ease of working with Hans. If you tell Hans the kind of temperament you want, he'll advise you on the best litter for your needs.
Purchased dogs with their dogs pedigree in them but from outside kennels, the quality just wasn't the same as Alphine K9. They have plenty of beautiful looking dark sable dogs. But I'm sure you would fall in love with the right temperament puppy for you no matter what the color is as long he is the perfect match with you & healthy.
Below are the beautiful dark sable studs at Jipo-Me kennels / Alphine K9:

I replaced the photo of Bandit vom Wolfsheim posted by the OP with Bandit's pedigree database photo. This was done to prevent any copyright violations.
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!

Crap-a-doodle-doo. Now I have to change MY underwear. Be sure to save this thread, just in case you ever need advice on how NOT to convert a compliment into a sale.

I didn't see a copyright stamp on the photo. Since when did being congenial to a stranger be such an issue? Make the pic NOT copyable so this doesn't happen again. You didn't Molly so thats on you.
Hans is a knowledgeable guy and I like his dogs. BUT most are working dogs and I'm not sure that a dog with lots of get up and go will be the right fit for you. If your going to spend that much, go and see what your buying before you buy. I'm sure there must be breeders closer to you that will have what you want. It's alot of money to pay only to find out that an easy going working dog is still too much to handle.
