I would argue the exact opposite. Titles, whichever titles they may be (herding, dual purpose k9, narc certs, etc...), PROVE the working ability of the dogs and should be an absolute requirement when considering a dog for breeding purposes AFTER health certifications (OFA/SV/penn hip, etc). I think the lack of foresight in many breeders not looking past their bank account balance has put the German Shepherd is the state it is in. Why do you think most dogs at high competition levels, working police K9s, personal protection dogs, etc are all IMPORTED from Europe. Their breeding requirements involve TITLES. Also don't misconstrue my comments as "all dogs with titles should be bred", because that is not the case either. If we are going to be good stewarts of the breed, then we should support breeding only the top specimens which have proven their ability to work to the standard of the German Shepherd Dog. If you are going to quote the Capt then honor his wish and support the NEED for better managing breeding THE German Shepherd Dog to his standards.

It tells you one important fact about the breeder. It tells you that lying, cheating, stealing and fraud are acceptable in some form and to some extent.
If you are feeling lucky, go further and find out more.
I can see why they are stealing Pharaoh's cousins baby pictures. They are such cute, chubby, hunky puppies.

First of all - I would like to apologize for using a puppy picture of Julie's that I googled cute german shepherd puppy pics on our website. I am sorry for that mistake. Please forgive me Julie.
We do know why this thread was started. A person on the thread is upset that he didn't get the GSD back that he mistreated to begin with. You know who you are and please do not ever send me e-mails again. I will not sell you a puppy because I know how the pup will be treated.
That German Shepherd Dog is now going to training to a facility in Michigan because the dog was never socialized and lived in a crate in the basement all his life until he was purchased at almost 2 years old. He was sick, underweight and had become aggressive toward men. Because of his lineage, the trainers do think they can work with him, but it will be a long haul.
That person on this thread couldn't make up his mind between a Husky or a GSD. He even told me he would NEVER own another GSD. He decided he wanted to purchase the dog back lately and was told the dog isn't for sale. Thus the thread ! I wouldn't even have known about the thread until he e-mailed me to look at it! What about that person? Should anyone be taking his advise or reading his comments.
Yes, we have made a mistake or two along the way. Has anyone on this thread ever made a mistake? Please answer truthfully. Is anyone on this thread a breeder? If so, has any breeder on this thread EVER bred an untitled dog? Please be truthful.
We are absolute and genuine German Shepherd Dog lovers! We care for and treat our dogs very well and we do train and title as money allows. We are careful to purchase German Shepherd dogs that have good health and Titles in their ancestors.. We make sure our German Shepherds are all in good health and do OFA prelims and Certification for hips and elbows. We do not make any money with our beloved hobby. Every penny goes back into the dogs and more improvements for them.
Yes, we have purchased 2 very nice German Shepherd dogs from PeggySue Walker. These dogs were both bred by Chip Weiss in Michigan a few years ago before he retired due to illness. They both are the best German Shepherd Dogs we have ever lived with and had the privilege to own.
Our Beautiful Enya was purchased from another lady in Michigan who was 91 at the time. You folks who make remarks about us and our kennel do not know us. So far, no one has even mentioned our "Extended Family" page on our website. Please go there and read what folks who HAVE dealt with us have to say about our puppies, their quality and US! We have numerous repeat buyers too.
If you are going to visit our website and find anything you can to criticise us - please talk about the good we are doing too! We are not a large breeder. In fact, we just do this as a hobby because of our love for German Shepherd Dogs. Our Neescha is getting her PPD title now as we are speaking. No one mentioned that. Macarthur is training to be a drug detection dog. Of course, that wasn't mentioned when someone was trying to slam the fact that we used him for a stud. Our Yeva was in training for Schutzhund for 4 months before we found out her hips were bad - so we've had our share of sorrow too!
Please do get facts straight before making comments of something you know nothing about. We do take your critisism as the sincerest form of flattery and will try to learn from it and continue to better the breed.

I have a German Shepherd I am training to be a accountant too, but that doesnt mean thats what she is and is therefore breed worthy. When he achieves the Certiified Narcotics Detection Dog title and gets his ACTUAL OFA CERTIFICATION, then perhaps he would be breedable after that. But that this point he is just a dog with his balls that is making you money...

Apologies for high-jacking your thread and stirring the pot. Seems like things generally got off topic and more into a general "ethics of breeding" argument. So BACK TO YOUR ORIGINAL QUESTION... no, I personally have no first hand expierence with this kennel or their dogs.

If the information on their website didn't tell you what you needed to know, you have a lot more learning to do before you decide on a kennel and a dog.
