daryle, I do agree with you. If the s/l continues in this same direction of "gait" first, then it is only a matter of time they become the Am. s/l.
I do not think this will happen, but I could be wrong. I think the SV will acknowledger this direction and correct it. Just as they have acknowledged the need for h/e status. Just as now they are concerned with spine issues. I think the members will eventually demand it and override the "big" breeders who profit much from it now.

I love working line dogs, BUT I have lots of respect for any showline breeder who participates in sports like agility, schutzhund, or other physical and mentally demanding sports. This should keep breeders honest. I guess I still wonder are the top show line breeders participating in these venues. Because the goal of any competitor is to reach towards the top. So if the top high level showline competitors' dogs are not capable of participating in such venues becuase of lack of physical and mentally soundness what does this say?
