Did you not know that, CMills? Or are you referring to something else?

Diamond owns a ton of brands. It behooves one to do their homework on where their food is actually made and by whom. It can be enlightening and a little scary.

My older pup Major was fed on Beta Puppy and boiled chicken mnce which I carried on when I bought him, I then changed to James Wellbeloved (LB)  Puppy which he seems to like and also his coat is in really good condition. When I got my latest pup she didn't seem to like it much so I tried her on Beta Puppy (LB) and she loves it.

Thanks Jenni, I either didn't know that from the beginning or confused TOTW with another food. I know EVO was bought by Procter and Gamble (I think) recently as well. Hopefully Orijen will stay Orijen, though we are transitioning our husky onto raw as soon as we finish the bags we have left.

Thank you so much guys! GSDGuy, I do think beer and ol roy is a good mix haha. I'm going to try Orijen. I use TOTW on my 18 month old, but I was iffy about it being all-stage and not LB pup.

I think that Diamond owns Evo as well.

Jenni- you could have answered my question without the smarty insinuation.  I was just asking.  and no I didn't know that, seems so many people recommend TOTW, but talk about Diamond like shit.  so if both are made by the same company why would that be?  I've used Diamond for 20 yrs, and have never had any problems with it, dogs always in excellent condition, great energy levels, glossy coats, and nice firm stools.  Most of all, they love the taste.  so what more would you want?  I've fininshed quite a few AKC champions on that food.

What?

I asked what your question was. I don't understand the problem. People seem shocked that TOTW is Diamond.

I know the same company makes Acana as Orijen, is one better than the other?

by magdalenasins on 05 May 2012 - 13:05

Acana just has a lower amount of protein. Jenni I think the poster above summed it up well, TOTW is highly recommended as a premium food and Diamon is treated like the crap it is so many of us never made the association or checked the company. It doesn't say MADE BY DIAMOND in big letters on the bag. I just looked at the bag I got here in the UK (!!) that is on recall and nowhere is the word Diamond listed. I for one appreciate your telling us who didn't know!
