You said "when" they go into heat or "when" they mature they wouldn't know that.......which would mean they "use" to know they were their son, or dad, or whatever. No reason to get all snarky YR.
Editing to add, not "all" will become like that though. Two of my males are mature adults, one is almost 6, one is 3 and a few months. When I selected him from my litter I made sure to pick the more submissive one. I can leave them together 24/7 and never have issues. I fully trust them together. I made it a point to teach the younger one not to annoy Max when he was younger......this way they would not run into that problem anyway. They're totally fine with each other, and I expect Little Dude to be fine with them both when he reaches maturity one day too.

We have 2 unaltered (soon to be altered) 7 year old females living peacefully together 100% of the time,
no crates. Was it always peaceful?? HELL NO!! We have had a total of 3 fights, thank goodness none was
so bad we had to get the vet involved... minor blood shed. After the last one where instigator was flung
up against the ceiling by the tail (really, what do you grab? Never never stick your hands in there!!) we
have had no more incidents. That was 3 years ago. Would I reccomend it again? NO. It's a pain in the arse
to constantly be on top of them... they are not allowed to play together, be out together to play ball etc...
They ARE allowed to run together with the quad or hiking, just not any activity that puts either one into drive.
They are not related and came to live with me the first at 14 months and the second at 2 years. That was
5.5 years ago on my first and 5 yrs on the second.
It is much easier to have a male/female live together then 2 females. Two males can be worked out, depending on
the males. Males fight for territory and to breed, females fight for the right to breathe... meaning to the death in
some instances.
It can be done, but should not be attempted by a novice or someone that does not have the time to very closely
supervise.
