I don't think Judron is saying he is the end all to be all....I think that Judron is saying that a knowledgable dog person who is a breeder can see past the points, to traits that are part of the dog's genetic make up, and not training. Leastways, I can see that. Sure there are other dogs that possess this also, but there are many dogs that the training translating into points; is stronger than the genetic imprint.....and good breeders are looking for those dogs like Satoris and others like him. IMO

NICE dog.  That must be quite a feeling being a helper, and having a dog come at you like a speeding bullet.  It must take a bit of courage on the helpers part to catch something like that.  Impressive to watch. I can't imagine being the one he's flying toward!

What do you think get's the points in the Protection phase of a competition, It is the Obed of the Dog, its nerves of which it must be in complete control and of course the Power of the Bite and how it Bites. There are a great many dogs out there who do just that. However what we do not see is but from one competition, We need to see many such videos of Dogs at different places to see how they react then. Yes, you can look beyond the Points but after all is said and done there are many as good and some better and stronger. But as said he is a very nice Dog indeed i am not knocking the dog at all only commenting on what is shown on video in a competition.
What i look for is consistency every time a dog is on the work field one that shows the same each time it works.

I posted the video of Gator because I wanted to hear what people thought of a dog. I am very familiar with trials and the point system. I did not say Gator was the best of the best of the best. I do say he is a very nice dog that impressed me with his power and presence. Some can see it...some can't. I have no problem admitting that:-)

What we need to see is a few videos of a very good young inexperienced Dog's working on the Sleeve. I only wish i had a video so i could take some of the dogs in our club including my Gina but i do not only photos and they do not really tell us a lot.
Now those sort of videos would be interesting to get the critique of others on here. As regards Satoris, as said he is in the top flight as proven by results and who would not be over the moon if they owned him.

Judron & Gustav & Dudrino
What about your own young dogs, do you not have any training videos to show on here of them Guarding and Biting in the protection phase of the sport.
