GSDNewbie, I'm pretty sure I made a good comment about the dog that judron posted. Yes I commented about the dog in the video in the 2nd post, but how is voicing an opinion snide behavior? Not to mention I thanked the poster of the 2nd comment for pointing out that the videos he posted were of three different dogs. I wasn't bashing, just voicing an opinion that I didn't see what was so outsanding about the working ability in one of the videos.....that's all....

I have not adjusted to more than one forum on this site as yet and forget to read the other, but thank you for the suggestion.

It was not what you said GSDGuy though I did not care for the extended version of your thoughts on sl dogs as well.

Very nice dog. If all the showlines worked like him it would be really nice. He is a beautiful dog with an awesome work ethic. I wish there were more showlines like him.

Another showline I like is Nexx Hartis Bohemia.. he is another very nice showline dog..

Nexx is very impressive....but do you think it is a coincidence where Nexx is from??? The mentality of the Eastern Bloc countries are that German Shepherds should work.....even showline dogs. That mentality as a basis for your breeding serves the breed far better than other mindsets.JMO

I think if dogs were worked, not just barelly titled the quality of showlines would go much further.
I have met decent showline dogs.( but they lacked good work ethics and more tense training)..
It is how you train also, not just the dog. I am for the working and getting All you can out of a dog, not just titles.
People in Slovakia or Czech (some still) work the dogs, they work them like they are ment to be worked. There are some of course that have more the show ring mentality. All you have to do is work the dogs, not just train them to do the title in low 80tes at the best in a local club and never leave the home field.

Priority is the key.
