I would think the honest people selling czech dogs are not happy
with this Character

I think they are laughing all the way to the bank! Alpine K9 and partner are "IT" when anyone wants to talk czech-bred, german shepherd dogs. And the strangest thing is, someone like myself actually learned about the benefits and defects in setting a type using close linebreeding such as a brother-sister breeding, whether it was an oops or not, from them. Call that odd? I would! Coincidence, I think not.

I guess Hans Blabla at Alpine K9 and Jiri Novotny at Jinopo never really had any intention of rectifying their "f*** up" as they call it.  We are all still waiting to see what Hans does in this situation.  Geez, lots of bad press for Czech german Shepherds on here lately.  No wonder the influence of WGR dogs.  I am really giving second thoughts to getting another Czech German Shepherd, I may go with those West German "sort dogs" again.  From what I see the best "sport dogs" make the best Police K-9's anyway.

Well to say I am disappointed in Hans doesn't begin to cover it. I have read some of his posts and he seemed knowledgeable and a decent guy. Actions speak louder than words though, and I don't see any action. What's the hold up Hans? I see you have had enough time to comment on other threads recently, so it's not a time issue.

From Hans' point of view basing it purely on self interest, I am really very surprised. At the very least I expected that he would want to try and salvage the reputation of both Jinopo and Alpine K9, bearing in mind this thread has been getting over 200 hits per hour throughout the last couple of days. Is keeping hold of $1800 dollars or whatever it is SO much more important in the scheme of things?

Hans
A mistake you put right, a scam is a scam. You just need to prove which this is.

Workingdogz
We all know that all GSD forums/clubs/people are interlinked, and unless this is put right they won't be able to try and sell a Jinopo dog anywhere without a link to this thread popping up to haunt them. Long, long memories here .......

Jim:

I do not expect anything is gonna get done...? REASON WHY?

I have a friend in another country who I recommended to use Hans because I knew nothing about Jinopo///well same song and dance and after the deposit was made

BIG PROBLEMS arose as pup died????

HANS REMARK TO THIS MAN
who is a member here also, said    Oh  Jiri's doesn't speak English and you have to deal with his SOn.and he speaks broken English??

The saga got messier and messier and after several EXCUSES AS TO WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ORIGINAL PUP CUSTOMER PAID DOWN ON WAS,

A pup was shipped and the price for all of it was OUTRAGEOUS because my friend went thru USA partner instead of direct and afterwards was told he couldn't change his deal.
SO it is not just  AMericans,,,my friend is in a country across the sea. I have kept quiet and given the benefit of a doubt that this really was a one time F**** up, but I may have been very wrong in prompting my friend , which is now happy with the final purchase except he felt  RIPPED OFF>>!! and never ever got a satisfactory  reply from Jinopo as to what happened to the first PUP he picked out.???? There seemed to be a lot of mystery about telling my friend why the puppy died/ since miles between all parties was done by emails and phone..

In my opinion Schaferhunden made a Positive Analysis of a bad situation:

I never really paid any attention to what I called you, Jim. I thought I did call you Jim, but I had to laugh at whoever asked that and repeated it because I thought it was funny. At any rate, I am not saying Hans shouldn't make it right or that Jiri didn't know. I have no idea how long he's been aware of the hips, and the hips are the issue in this thread.  the teeth have kind of been dealt with imo, and should be separate to a degree. She declined the replacement pup he offered. That was her choice, and one I agree with. But the fact is she declined it so I think this is a separate issue. I think it's a shit situation and that's why I offered her a puppy when she's ready. There is no way to make Kaiser the workable dog she bought. She has done nothing wrong, but I don't see where anyone can be expected to pay vet bills, either. So, if she's going to be the great person she appears to be and try to give Kaiser the life he deserves, I think she also deserves the dog she bought...which she can't take for another several months at least, so a refund would be nice. I wouldn't blame her for being afraid of another dog from the same origin, though we also can't fault the broker for offering it.

My only point was that if you're Hans, this is a bigger deal than just Chrissy's pup. This is a partnership issue, to me, and one I would not want to deal with, IF there's a behind the scenes guy calling the shots and yet I am expected to clean up the messes.  This is why I don't even want to do co-breedings with people or any of that messy stuff. Sometimes the person left holding the bag isn't the only one who is to "blame."

Have not read through all of the posts, but after reading through those threads that were linked in one of the posts, I believe the buyer should just have taken up the replacement offer, when it was initially offered (within a week of the pup's arrival and the discovery of the overbite)......I do realize that returning a pup after he has been with us for a week (more than enough time to bond), is a VERY tough thing to do, especially for a green buyer with her first high-end GSD pup.

Bottomline, this was a green buyer who "fell in love" with her first high-end GSD pup, and thus returning the pup (for a replacement) after the lapse of a week, was just not an easy thing to do.  After the lapse of that one week, the pup was no longer just a nameless pup (or a product that one returns back to Target or Walmart), but an individual with a distinct identity, as far as the buyer was concerned. A dispassionate breeder on the other hand, would have looked at the seriously reduced potential in the pup, and would have happily taken up the replacement offer.

In this particular instance, hope things can be sorted out by the principal parties, without all of the mud slinging that is happening here.....and hope this new year can be a happy one for all, including for the puppy in question.

YR that is very sad and disturbing.

Jen, I assumed you had read the other post and was joking.  You can ask for the stars and wish for the moon.  I hope he refunds her purchase price and shipping as he agreed before.  Any less would be really disgusting.  Hans can not pass this off onto Jiri.  Hans dropped the ball right off the bat, they are partners they need to satisfy Chrissy.

aaykay,
Is Hans still the cream of the of the GSD crop??????

The pup couldn't be returned the first wek because Hans wouldn't return Chrissy's calls...............Hmmmmmmmmmm

Are you rushing to buy your next dog from him?  Is anyone reading this thread rushing out to buy a Jinopo dog?
